Rising Stars: Meet Stacii Lewis of Peachtree Corners

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacii Lewis

Hi Stacii , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I went to prison for 21 years at the age of twenty years old from 19997-2018 and when I came home I moved from Miami Florida to Atlanta to give me a new start at life. After my first year here in Atlanta I wrote my book: The Universe Thru My Eyes based on my life story and how I ended up serving 21 years in Florida maximum security prison. My book did well for itself and I started motivated speaking to the youth and adults also about my life experiences. Covid hit us and I couldn’t do motivation speaking anymore, so by 2022 June I decided to try acting out in ATLANTA and from there I knew I found something that I really liked doing and my past didn’t even matter all the film industry was worried about was my work ethic. Now I’m in multiple films from big productions to small productions and in the end I just keep working hard every day and thank GOD for the opportunity of a lifetime turn around and really hope my story can motivate others. It’s never over unless you throw the towel of life in.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My struggle was I didn’t know how to deal with people with so many emotions and personalities because I was a isolated individual. Once I learned how to embrace different through individuals that’s when I got easier for me to be around others in a big capacity

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Acting and doing fight stunts are my thing especially if the character im playing is kind of like me in real life in the script and I love seeing my craft at fight stunts because you are the one that makes the fight scene look authentic

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I really self taught myself just observing and watching and listening. I pay attention to everything even if it feels like it doesn’t matter. I like to learn things hands on.
