Today we’d like to introduce you to Mona Lott
Hi Mona, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Mona Lott began her drag journey seven years ago, captivating audiences with her unique blend of humor and creativity. Driven to create more than just performances, she soon launched her own events business, taking on the roles of producer, costume designer, and director to shape unforgettable shows. For the past five years, she’s served as the director of the Atlanta Pride Shooting Star Cabaret, where she champions inclusivity and community celebration. Through her company, Lott Entertainment, and her nonprofit, Equality Fest, Mona’s dedication to her craft and her community continues to grow, establishing her as a versatile, impactful force in the drag world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We all know that anything worthwhile comes with its struggles. From dealing with no-shows at your event to balancing work and life, or working with businesses focused solely on the bottom line, the obstacles are real—and they keep coming. But I’m committed to pushing through to build spaces where people feel safe, celebrated, and filled with laughter.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As Mona Lott, I’m a passionate entertainer and entrepreneur, known for bringing boldness and creativity to every performance and production. I’ve directed the Atlanta Pride Shooting Star Cabaret for five years, and with over seven years of performing—and four years producing my own shows—I’ve built a career that’s all about connection, creativity, and community. From designing my own costumes to putting together shows that celebrate diversity and pride, I’m proud to create spaces that both entertain and uplift others.
When I am not Mona, I am the COO for Allprovide Pet Foods. I channel that same passion into building a company committed to the health and well-being of pets. I oversee operations to ensure that we’re not only delivering high-quality pet food but also prioritizing the needs of our customers. I bring a hands-on approach, leveraging my experience in customer service to anticipate what our clients—and their pets—truly need.
Balancing these two worlds sets me apart; I’m equally invested in creating memorable entertainment experiences and providing top-notch pet nutrition. I’m proud to bring my heart and expertise to everything I do, whether it’s on stage or in the office.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t defined by external markers but by a feeling, a sense of fulfillment that arises when I achieve what I set out to do. It’s a moment when my personal goals align with my actions, and I can see my intentions take form in the real world. This feeling goes beyond the accomplishment itself; it’s the quiet pride and contentment that come from knowing I stayed true to my vision and values.
