How Kundalini Yoga and World Travel Led Trinity Faith to Build Spaces for Transformation

Trinity Faith sees travel as far more than a change of scenery — she sees it as an invitation to heal, grow, and rediscover who we are. After earning her Kundalini Yoga Teacher Certification and creating transformational retreats, she’s bringing together ancient practices, intentional community, and immersive travel experiences that encourage lasting change. Her journey is a reminder that sometimes the most profound destinations are the ones that lead us back to ourselves.

Hi Trinity, thanks so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to have you share your thoughts and insights with our readers. You’ve recently earned your 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Certification and are now leading a transformational retreat in Thailand. Looking back, can you tell us about the experience that first introduced you to Kundalini yoga and made you realize it would become such an important part of your life’s work?
I found Kundalini in a time where I was doing a lot of shadow work and nurturing my feminine energy. I had led a very masculine, hyper-independent lifestyle and was surrendering to the receptive nature that femininity exudes. It was somewhere along my exploration of breathwork and reading ancient stories of the Goddesses Lilith, Persephone, and Kali that I discovered Kundalini Yoga.

My first practice felt like a psychedelic experience. With the ample use of breathwork and intentional spinal movements, I tapped deeply into my etheric body and the space around me. My sense of awareness expanded beyond my physical body and I felt 60 feet tall. The sensation was medicine. It was peace, stability, and power. And whenever I fall in love with a new healing modality, I always scream it from the rooftops.

You describe travel as a catalyst for healing rather than simply a vacation. Was there a particular journey or destination that transformed the way you saw yourself or your life? We’d love to hear the story behind that experience and why it continues to influence the retreats you create today.
Traveling has always been a thrilling experience for me. Whether driving, flying, sailing, or walking, I LOVE exploring new places, seeing different people, eating new foods, and learning new languages. Traveling connects new neural pathways in my brain. Living elsewhere for any duration helps me explore more of what I love in the world.

I cannot just list one, so here is a quick rundown of the most impactful places I’ve visited:

Panama because it was my first solo travel experience and the people were full of love and joy. I danced at clubs, ate amazing food, and stayed at an Airbnb surrounded by local community. It was also the first time I navigated using only my Spanish-speaking skills. This experience made me very proud of myself.

Costa Rica because I attended Rythmia, an ayahuasca retreat center for 8 life-changing days. Here, I purged impurities and limiting beliefs, communicated with my ancestors, danced with my higher self, and left radiating like a newborn baby.

South Africa because of its stunning environment and welcoming community. I hosted a meet and greet in Cape Town and was surrounded by miraculous souls filled with love and light. The nature there is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and when I move abroad completely, this is where I will live.

Lastly, Morocco because its bustling energy and very different culture required me to show up for myself more. I have been to Morocco three times and each trip has taught me important lessons about opulence and self-preservation.

All these experiences and more influence my passion for helping people travel the world. I often refer to hosting retreats as “worldbuilding” because providing a safe space for people to explore foreign lands is an important calling. Travel has changed my life and I love nurturing spaces where others can change their lives as well.

Your work emphasizes intention and integration when it comes to plant medicine experiences. Can you share a moment either from your own healing journey or while supporting someone else that reinforced the importance of preparation and reflection, rather than focusing only on the experience itself?
Education is the best way to prepare for a plant medicine experience. As an intellectual being, I find comfort in knowledge, and knowing benefits of a substance helps me feel more confident about consuming it. I often refer to psychedelics as easter eggs because they are like power-ups from Earth. After every trip, I carry that momentum forward to change my life for the better because “to act is to know.”

Once you know something, you cannot unknow it.

Many times, the mushrooms have revealed an old wound and shown me how it has caused me to navigate poorly throughout life. From those powerful realizations, I change my thoughts and decisions and show up differently. This is where the real work occurs.

Sometimes people fear what the plant medicine shows them because they fear change or taking responsibility for the hurt they’ve caused,  but that is simply a part of life’s journey. And what the medicine reveals is always for their highest good. If you resist, you will only continue to hurt yourself.

This is why I’ve launched Psychadelic Guidance & Integration Sessions on my website, becuase having an educated practioner help you connect the dots and integrate positive change makes the journey a lot easier.

Creating a retreat involves so much more than planning an itinerary. Can you take us behind the scenes of designing the Thailand retreat? Was there a decision, challenge, or meaningful moment during the planning process that helped shape the experience you want participants to have?
Thailand has been my #1 travel destination for years. With my love for yoga and eastern philosophy, I knew I wanted this retreat to be spiritually significant. I have made this trip exceptionally meaningful by incorporating monthly group calls where I share ancient yogic knowledge and teach Kundalini yoga. Since many people may not know about or have experience with Kundalini, I wanted to provide a container where they could receive sacred education and the travel experience of a lifetime.

Cultivating relationships months before the retreat has been a fantastic decision because when we finally arrive in Thailand, we will all be family.

Transformation is often sparked by a single conversation, breakthrough, or unexpected realization. As you’ve shared your journey publicly and begun guiding others, has there been a moment that reminded you just how powerful it can be when people feel truly seen and supported?
Absolutely! There have been sooo many moments: my Sacral Chakra Workshop in Morocco where everyone cried out their shame, my Sacred Rage Ritual in Costa Rica where everyone screamed and released stuck energy, in my Kundalini Yoga class where the ladies told me the metaphors I used to explain their bodily sensations were exactly how they felt in that moment, every time a woman has over apologized on a retreat and I’ve looked her in the eyes and said, “You aren’t sorry,” and by the time the retreat is over, she has stopped apologizing for everything.

When participants leave your retreat and return to their everyday lives, what do you hope stays with them long after the trip is over? Is there a lesson from your own personal journey that inspired the experience you hope they’ll carry home?
I hope they smile in remembrance of how much fun they had and the sacred knowledge that they’ve learned. I hope that they continue to take leaps of faith that will lead them to new foreign lands, eating new cuisine with new faces. I hope they feel their authenticity radiating from within and that they carry that with them for the rest of their lives.
