From Showing Up to Seeing His Face on a Billboard: Anthony Green Is Just Getting Started

For Anthony Green, seeing his face on a billboard is more than a career milestone — it’s a reminder of how far belief, community, and simply showing up can take you. Through OddlyCreative and OddlyCreative Hair, he’s building a beauty brand rooted in creativity and genuine connection while looking for new ways to make a meaningful impact. Now, with a billboard behind him and bigger ambitions ahead, Anthony is focused on turning one unforgettable moment into the beginning of something much larger.

Anthony, landing a billboard feature is a huge milestone. What did that moment mean to you personally and for your brand?
Thank you! It honestly feels like I’m watching a dream unfold in real time. I moved to Atlanta with nothing but belief in myself and a willingness to take every opportunity that came my way, never really knowing where it would lead me. To now see myself on a billboard is a full-circle moment that I still can’t fully put into words.

More than anything, though, it feels like confirmation. Confirmation that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be and that everything I’m building with OddlyCreative is only getting started. This won’t be the last time you see me on a billboard — just the first of many.

You mentioned this opportunity came through networking. How has showing up and building genuine connections shaped your journey so far?
It has truly changed my life for the better. Sometimes I joke that I feel like I’ve unlocked a cheat code to life. You always hear people talk about the power of community, but it wasn’t until I started intentionally building my own that I realized just how powerful genuine connections can be.

One casual conversation can lead to an opportunity you never imagined for yourself. I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing people I’ve connected with over the last year and for the way we continue to pour into and support one another. I’ve learned to never underestimate the power of genuine love, support, and simply showing up as yourself.

Your story highlights the power of community. What advice would you give to other creators trying to turn connections into real opportunities?
My biggest advice would be to get out of your own head and put yourself in the room. We can be our own worst enemies sometimes, whether it’s overthinking, comparing ourselves to others, or convincing ourselves that we don’t belong somewhere.

Stepping outside of my comfort zone was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. Go to the event. Introduce yourself. Start the conversation. And most importantly, don’t approach every connection thinking about what you can get from it. Build genuine relationships and support people without expecting something in return. You never want to look back 10 or 20 years from now thinking, “I wish I would’ve done that.”

With OddlyCreative and OddlyCreative Hair growing, how are you thinking about expanding your brand’s visibility and impact moving forward?
This is just the beginning for OddlyCreative and OddlyCreative Hair. My goal is to continue growing the brand into a trusted and reputable name within the beauty industry while creating an even deeper connection with my audience.

Moving forward, I definitely plan to turn things up a notch. One of my biggest focuses is expanding onto YouTube and creating more long-form content. I want to bring back some of the feeling of how we consumed content in the early 2000s — when it felt more personal, intentional, and story-driven. I want people to get to know the person behind the content and the brand, not just what they see in a 30-second video.

I think long-form content will give me the opportunity to tell those stories, share more of my journey, and allow people to connect with OddlyCreative on a much deeper level.

Looking ahead to August and beyond, how do you plan to build on this momentum and turn this moment into something even bigger?
Looking ahead, I really want to get back to the foundation of why I started and explore where I can take OddlyCreative Hair next. I’m looking to tap further into the raw hair market, expand my custom unit offerings, and create pieces that feel more intentional to the person wearing them.

One area I’m especially interested in exploring is custom units specifically crafted for people experiencing alopecia. Hair can be such a personal part of how we see and express ourselves, so I want to create options that go beyond simply selling hair and actually meet people where they are.

For me, making this moment bigger isn’t just about getting the next big opportunity. It’s about evolving the business, filling gaps that I see within the beauty space, and continuing to find ways for my creativity to have a real impact. The billboard is an incredible milestone, but I see it as a starting point for everything I’m working toward.
