Meet Fancy Jones of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fancy Jones

Hi Fancy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
During the pandemic, I was living in Houston, TX and started streaming on multiple apps as a broadcaster which became full time for me. I had created a fan base online discussing adult content and adult situations. About 2 years later, I created a podcast based off my streaming content. My producer of my podcast at the time told me I should get into acting because it would help get my face out there more. So I auditioned for my 1st movie shortly afterwards, and got casted. 2 movies later, my last episode of my podcast went viral because I interviewed Kevin Gates, the rapper. That interview went crazy viral on every platform, even way in Africa on blogs. From Breakfast Club, to every online media publication you can think of. Acting had became my passion but people wanted more of my podcast. I got my 1st out of town gig in Milwaukee with Swift Sloan then my 2nd out of town gig in Detroit with Immense Films. I knew I had something if people were investing in me and flying me out for their productions. I woke up one day shortly and decided to move to Detroit from Houston to pursue acting as Detroit is the capital of “Tubi”. I felt I could move there and build my resume versus moving to LA or Atlanta. I had an opportunity to do Season 2 of my podcast in Detroit as well. My 1st 7 months of living in Detroit, I filmed 15 films. I couldn’t believe it. I would still post my adult content talking about relationships, etc. on my social media pages along with my acting content. A producer out of Detroit, Joe Smith, told me I should pick one type of content for my social media. I wanted to merge both of my audiences so I didn’t listen to him. It took for an A-List celebrity who’s an actor, who told me to clean up my social media. He told me if 50 cent, was to come to my page, he would want to f*** me and not hire me, based off the mixing of my content. That same day, I decided to clean up my socials and just work towards my acting career. I completely let my adult content go because I’m really good at this acting. So many people were rooting for me so I decided to give that side of me up. I worked so hard to let that brand go so everyone could see my true talent of acting, which really helped. I started getting roles that were not related to me being a sex symbol to the public eye, like I was. I started being very picky with roles I would get offered. I literally started turning down roles left and right. I stayed in Detroit for a year and realized it was time for me to move on to bigger opportunities since my acting has truly taken off. In October 2023, I was invited to a movie premiere in Atlanta. During my trip to Atlanta, I decided to go be an extra on Tyler Perry set of, “All The Queens Men”. I wanted to feel the spirit of Atlanta and do some manifestation to see if possibly Atlanta was next for me. Detroit put me on the map for my acting career and I’m so appreciative. I moved to Detroit on May 19th, 2023, then decided to move to Atlanta on May 19th 2024. By this time, I had filmed 20 films in 15 months of me being an actress. I could not believe it. I moved to Atlanta to scope the scene to see if this was my next move. The same day I moved to Atlanta, I went to a casting for the Peacock series, “The Dirty A” by Lisa Brown of “The Dirty D” series out of Detroit. I knew her and her team from Detroit already so I figured this project would be perfect for me. I ended up getting casted for the project and that made me even more confident that I made the right decision to move to Atlanta. Just like I did in Detroit, I connected with so many before I moved to Atlanta. Detroit producers would still hire me for their films even tho I moved to Atlanta. 6 months into living in Atlanta, I decided this is most def the next place for my journey. To date, I have 17 films streaming, 2 I have produced, but have filmed over 20 films. I have no plans on leaving Atlanta no time soon because all what I have accomplished in this short period of acting, I know Atlanta is the next city for me to conquer and I can’t wait to see what 2025 has for me as Atlanta productions have already started booking me. If I can do this, ANYONE can do this. Go chase those dreams! It can happen!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The struggles along the way of being in this industry have not been that bad for me to where I couldn’t handle it. Letting my podcast and adult content go to have the world view me as an actress only, wasn’t that hard. I have a great gift of acting so I knew the transition was possible but I had to work hard to rebrand myself. That came with me turning down roles with adult scenes which I wasn’t worried about. Because if I could catch the world attention with my podcast, I knew I could catch their attention with my acting, which I did. I wanted to put the work in, so to me, it wasn’t that hard.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So to date, I’m an actress, writer and producer. I am known for leaving my city of Houston to chase my new found passion of acting and doing just that, in a short period of time. I’m so proud of all the accomplishments I have made because if I didn’t move to Detroit, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. What sets me apart from others is that I want to help other aspiring actors get to where they want to be. I created an online academy to where I teach aspiring actors, “The Fancyprint” to what I did to get ahead in this industry. I teach them how to basically brand themselves online as an actor, how to connect with producers and directors via social media, etc. This was something that I taught myself along the way. I networked like crazy with the people of Detroit before I moved there. I did the same with Atlanta. So again, if I can do this, so many others can as well. So I want to help them reach that level of success in a short period of time like I did. What sets me apart is that I truly want to help others succeed in this industry. It’s enough out here for everyone so if I can help, I will.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I have become a mentor to many because I’m at a place where alot of aspiring actors would like to be at. That inspired me to create, “The Fancyprint Actor Academy”. What has worked well for me in this industry is ONLINE NETWORKING because 95 percent of my gigs that I booked, came from the power of social media. I am truly one to jump in DMs, network and BOOK! Trust me, it works! You HAVE to stand out!
