Meet Mia Harden

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Harden.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always been an artist. I would say I’ve been an artist as early as elementary. I have artwork located in The Georgia World Congress Center. Before I started doing graphic design work full-time, I painted as a hobby and sometimes for money as well. Eventually, I graduated to designing graphically, in which I found more enjoyable because artistic abilities were limitless on the computer. I learned the Adobe programs briefly in high school but I mastered the art of graphic design through many long nights on consistent practice. I practiced day in and day out for years.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a professional graphic design artist. I brand small businesses and entrepreneurs. I create timeless brand identities like: logos, websites, and more. I am also responsible the marketing and print collateral for these brands as well, this means: business cards, flyers, retractable banners, and more. I want people to understand that their brand should be timeless and to always create with future opportunities in mind. My artwork is special because my eyes are trained to design with every single detail in mind. I design down to the smallest detail. I absolutely love what I do and I would do it even if I did not make a dime, simply because I am passionate. My biggest joy in this field is being able to bring my clients vision to fruition as perfectly as they envisioned. Being able to create amazing things is a feeling money could NEVER buy.

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
Yes. I believe that the roles of artist have changed positively because we now have platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and others to express our art amongst the masses. Everything is constantly evolving and growing. As artist, we are able to consistently share our ideas, thoughts, and feelings with the world about our art.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work can be seen on both of my Instagram accounts: (personal)instagram.com/miaharden OR (business) instagram.com/designsbymia.co – and my website: www.designsbymia.co.
