Today we’d like to introduce you to Twyla Styles

Hi Twyla, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was approached with an idea 12 years ago to start to start a tire business. My silent partner showed me the vehicles that travel on Moreland Ave and Said to me “they all need tires and we could be the business that provides them”. He stated he would work 24/7 in all conditions to ensure the business would be profitable, sustainable and successful. I didn’t know exactly what that would look like, but I decided to take the opportunity and went forward.
Learning how to operate a business has been ups and downs. The choice of what business to open left room for growth and my business plan has changed to something bigger than expected.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A smooth business is a fairytale. You are always going to have ups and downs in businesses, but we have been blessed with amazing customers and our reviews show it. We were just awarded from the Nextdoor app for being a “Neighbor Hero” for business. That’s a huge compliment because we didn’t even know we were in the running for an award.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a new/used tired repair shop that has expanded to offer car repairs. Our staff is bilingual and speak fluent Spanish, this is an enormous aid in helping us better serve our customers.
The shop location has recently changed to 1230 Moreland Ave 30316 and we are now a larger shop and Styles Tires has 6 bays to serve you better. Our shop is located in an Atlanta staple building that is known as the “Muffler King” we have been blessed with a huge responsibility of continuing to serve customers in the community with care. As we like to say, “Life B Life’n” and we understand bad vehicle days happen. We accept several options when it comes to payments talk with our receptionist to find out more. Finding someone who is willing to work with you and help you stay on the road to push further is important. Our shop tag line is “We keep you rolling in Styles” the goal is to create customers that know we are just as reliable and helpful in life without causing them more vehicle stress.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
We are servicing electric vehicles mostly for tires or scratches. Styles Tires would like to offer alignments and emissions. The goal is to be a complete vehicle service hub. The new location offers brakes, oil changes, catalytic converter services, and other under car care that you won’t get at your big box retail. We want to care for the customer and service the vehicles needs. Being a family business in today’s economy is not an easy task. Progression is a wonderful thing and you always want to grow. The new location has been open since August 2024 so we have time to grow and become more we did It once and it’s been a learning experience, When the time comes for more we will accept the challenge and face it head on.
