Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucky Kash
Hi Lucky, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started dancing in high school and fell in love with majorette. it I was the captain for 2years and continued a dance career beyond high school. I went to Bethune Cookman and danced there a short time & transferred to Albany State University where I started dancing Semi Pro.
My junior year of college I got into a bad car accident leaving me unable to walk for 8 months.
I transitioned to Kennesaw University during my recovery graduated with a Dual Major in Dance and integrated Studies.
Not being able to walk put a lot of things into perspective for me and I started to work harder toward my passion. I tried out for every dance team/group/company I could and made all of them too ! I went to several classes a week. Attended multiple dance conventions until I was getting the right feedback and built up enough confidence to share my gift with world.
I chose to teach heels because I feel like it’s a major confidence boost when a women can put on a pair of heels and own any walk way she encounters. I was scared to dance again after I gained by leg strength back but after I began training in heels the satisfaction and enjoyment I felt was something I knew every women needed to experience
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The struggle has been real lol but it’s definitely a learning experience as I grow and come up against different challenges. I’ve managed to maneuver and adjust pretty well to different obstacles I’ve faced without it affecting my brand in a major way.
I will say I’m definitely manifesting my OWN studio.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have been a heels instructor for 3 years. I teach every Friday at the heart of Atlanta. My class is catered toward women from all walks of life that have a passion for dance and desire to dance in heels. I teach the ladies to embrace their femininity and tap into the sensual side of self expression all while being authentic, fearless, and confident. I have provided a safe space at the studio for the women to come as they are, no judgment, only open minds and we encourage growth, making connections and networking with one another. My class is like no other because not only do I provide complementary wine but I have a live Dj every class making sure the vibes are just right!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck. Your life is the result of your own work ethic. My brand is continuing to thrive and that not because of luck, it’s the consistency and dedication I have to want Body Language to be something bigger than I ever imagined and impactful to women all over.
