Today we’d like to introduce you to Gavin Harden
Hi Gavin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I will keep it brief. I started acting in high school, my first class being at the Alliance Theatre.After high school, I majored in theatre arts at Hampton University. During my sophomore year, my teacher, Ms. Watson, connected me with Hutson Talent Agency in Virginia, which helped me gain on-set experience and meet interesting people throughout college. In my junior and senior years, I took writing classes that inspired me to start developing my ideas and write my own scripts.
After I graduated I moved to Atlanta to pursue an acting career.While in Atlanta, I met Ebon, who shared my passion for writing and frustration with casting opportunities. We collaborated on Love Enough, my first co-written and co-directed short film. Later, I starred in the feature film Now That You Know, where I connected with people who helped with my next two projects.
I starting writing titles like Missing, Bad Choices, and Story Time with Devon. All of these projects can be found either on youtube or on Fawesome.
I am currently working on other projects of my own as well as projects with others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth having is ever smooth. I just find it hard to find people to work with who are as serious about creating as I am.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in acting and writing, which is what I would like to think that I am known for. I am currently developing my skills with editing. I am extremely proud of the movie that I created on Fawesome Story Time With Devon. The thing that sets me apart from others would be that I am not afraid to fail. I will try different things that I creatively think is good.
