Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashawn Warren
Hi Rashawn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Rashawn, and I am the proud owner of Keep it Cute LLC. I am writing to express my sincere interest in the opportunity to win a free class. As a single mother and aspiring entrepreneur, this opportunity means the world to me.
In 2022, after the birth of my daughter, I realized I wanted to create something meaningful for myself and my family. I started exploring nail art as a hobby and quickly fell in love with it. While searching for a job, I practiced on friends and family, gradually building my skills and knowledge.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s hasn’t been as easy as I thought it would be. Starting a business takes commitment, effort and discipline. Which can be tedious for a person who has a full time job, kids, and/or personal life. However, me not being a quitter, I can’t see myself giving up on the dream.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am Employed at the Teachers Retirement System(Contact Management). I work in a high call volume environment. I direct the calls to particular divisions for all GA educators, Board of Education and/or Regions. I am also known for my creativity and ambitious attitude. Yes, I do nails but I have always been an entrepreneur so people know me for being a real hustler.
I am mostly proud of my achievements raising a daughter and being a multi-entrepreneur.
I set apart from others because I’m not afraid. I’m not afraid to fail, I”m not afraid to be embarrassed and I am not afraid of correction. A lot of people seek the approval from others but I was raised by Strong Independent Black Women. I wasn’t allowed to give up after failure. I was spoken to almost every single day about getting back up to try again. My family survived off of the women around them. From my mother, to her mother, to my grandmothers mother. We have always kept a rule of “Don’t fix nothing that ain’t broken and if it”s broke don”t fix it” ..
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing my dreams and vision grow brings much joy to my spirit. I love the feeling of watching your dedication show itself. I admire GOD. Going to church, singing in the choir, being around family and friends.
Without God my life wouldn’t be anywhere it is now. Having God on my side during transitions is very important in spiritual growth. Having wisdom, and correct counsel will train up a child.
