Meet Sarah Gosnell of Going Gosnell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Gosnell.

Sarah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I became a teen mother at the age of 19 so I immediately had to learn what it meant to hustle and work hard to get where I knew I needed to be. After marrying my husband a few years later, I went into a full-blown wife and mother mode. I knew I was living a life so many women dreamed of but I still felt something was lacking.

I owned a very successful business for 5 years before I sold it as it took too much time away from our family. This is when based on my love of fashion, interiors and just an all-around love of life I still had so much to share with the world. This is when I decided to start a lifestyle blog.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think the hardest part for me when starting my blog was it forced me to really self-reflect and get to know who exactly I am and what I am actually all about. Coming to those conclusions can be scary as well knowing you are about to share them with the world.

Going Gosnell – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As a blogger, it can be very easy to get wrapped up in what everyone else is doing or trying to come across like your perfect. I take great pride in the fact that I think I am pretty honest and real with what I am sharing with my readers.

My goal with my blog was to help people realize that no matter our backgrounds are, we’re all going through the same things. Just because you may have expensive taste when shopping doesn’t mean you don’t still love a good deal at Target. I think I will say the things everyone is kind of scared to admit and I embrace that about myself. I like to own it.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments so far have been the relationships I have developed with so many readers and knowing that in some way I helped them in some way whether it was with a personal issue they were struggling within their families or helping them to achieve more self-confidence.
