Exploring Life & Business with Ona Oghogho of Adode Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ona Oghogho.

Hi Ona, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This journey started in 2019, shortly after I was laid off from my management role in healthcare. What began as a passion project; a podcast where I interviewed women who had left corporate America, quickly turned into something much bigger. Through those conversations, I fell in love with the art of storytelling and the power it holds to connect and inspire.

In 2021, I opened my first podcast studio in Atlanta’s West End, creating a dedicated space for creators and brands to bring their voices to life. What started as a niche focus on podcast production soon revealed a deeper need: local businesses were craving not just content, but real strategy and support to grow. That realization led to the expansion of Adode Media in 2024 into a full-scale creative marketing agency.

Today, I own Atlanta’s #1 podcast studio and lead a thriving agency that helps local, service based businesses go beyond word of mouth. At Adode Media, we provide personalized marketing strategies that give local businesses the clarity, tools, and creative support they need to scale with intention.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, I’ve truly been blessed, but like any entrepreneurial journey, it hasn’t been without its challenges. This business has been 100% self-funded from day one, which made things a bit tough when I first opened my studio in 2021. Taking on the overhead of rent while trying to learn how to grow and market a brand-new business was a steep learning curve.

By 2022, I made the strategic decision to scale back temporarily, moving from a 1,400 sq ft space in Atlanta’s West End to a more manageable 950 sqft studio in Buckhead. That move reduced our monthly rent by $1,000, and instead of pocketing the savings, I reinvested every dollar into marketing. The results were incredible. In just nine months, our profits tripled, we quickly outgrew the Buckhead space, and expanded again, this time to our current 2,000 sqft location near Truist Park.

The experience taught me that growth doesn’t always mean doing more, sometimes it means making intentional decisions that create space for smarter investments and long-term momentum.

We’ve been impressed with Adode Media, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Adode Media is a full-service creative marketing agency and home to Atlanta’s number one podcast studio. We specialize in helping local service-based businesses such as those in construction, legal, hospitality, and healthcare move beyond word-of-mouth and into intentional, strategic growth through personalized marketing support.

Our core services include brand strategy, paid media, social media management, podcast production, and creative content development. What sets us apart is our ability to blend storytelling with strategy. We don’t just produce content; we build marketing ecosystems that help businesses show up with clarity, consistency, and confidence.

One thing we’re especially proud of is our ability to meet clients where they are. Whether a business is just beginning to define its brand voice or ready to scale through paid advertising, we create tailored strategies that align with their goals and stage of growth. Our in-house podcast studio also gives us a unique advantage, allowing us to help clients create content that is professional, engaging, and built to convert.

What we want readers to know is that Adode Media is more than just another agency. We’re a creative partner invested in your growth. We believe marketing should feel less like a guessing game and more like a clear path forward. And we’re here to walk that path with you every step of the way.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always an overachiever. I had a natural drive to excel, whether it was academics, leadership, or athletics. In high school, I balanced being FBLA President with competing on both the track and swim teams, which taught me discipline, time management, and how to lead with intention.

At the same time, I was also very silly and loved to have fun. I’ve always believed in enjoying life, not just chasing accomplishments. I was the friend who could be counted on for a good laugh, a spontaneous adventure, or a creative idea out of nowhere.

My parents gave me the freedom to be myself while still setting a high bar for excellence. That balance of joy and ambition shaped how I move through the world today; with purpose, playfulness, and heart.
