Story & Lesson Highlights with Lucretia Doyle of metro Atlanta areas

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lucretia Doyle . Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Lucretia, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Music brings me immense joy outside of work. As a musician and DJ, I also have the pleasure of overseeing a youth drumline. It’s incredibly fulfilling to provide music for special occasions and events.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a client advocate with The Bail Project, where I work as a Client Advocate for justice for those impacted by mass incarceration. I am committed to advancing justice, standing with the community, and serving as a voice for those who are too often unheard. My work in the justice field is more than a career; it’s a calling.

Beyond my professional role, I also lead the Patricia Ann Doyle Foundation, a nonprofit I founded in my late mother’s name July 2016. Through summer camp scholarships, back-to-school drives, and holiday support, we walk alongside children and families impacted by incarceration.

I am dedicated and determined. Call me a freedom fighter, because at the end of the day, freedom should be free.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
my thoughts on what can damage the bond between people. In my opinion, the absence of communication, a lack of trust, disloyalty, and a failure to be honest and upfront are key factors that can break those connections.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
For me, one of the most challenging times was when my mother was sent to prison for five years when I was nine. It was incredibly difficult to imagine how my siblings and I would manage, but we made it through thanks to the unwavering support of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members. We stayed together and strong until she was released. It was tough, but it taught us to keep faith and find the strength to move forward.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I wanted to share some of the cultural values I prioritize. I believe strong communication is absolutely essential, along with loyalty, transparency, and dependability.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I were to retire today, I believe I would be missed for my giving spirit, my dedication to my work, and my musical abilities.
