We’re looking forward to introducing you to Carieo carl crenshaw. Check out our conversation below.
Carieo carl , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my workday are a dynamic mix of physical and mental preparation. After waking up around 6:00 a.m., I kickstart my day with a 30-minute workout to get my energy up. By 8:30 a.m., I’m fully engaged in a crucial rehearsal at PFN TV. From 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., my team and I meticulously prepare for the live 12:00 p.m. broadcast, ensuring every technical element is flawless for the company CEOs who will be on the show
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Carl Crenshaw, and I am an audio engineer, broadcast professional, and entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience. My journey began in 2013 after graduating from Full Sail University, where I started my career in Atlanta as an audio engineer. Under the mentorship of Patrick “Guitar Boy” Hays, I honed my skills in mixing and mastering for artists like Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, and Keyshia Cole.
In 2017, I transitioned my skills to live broadcasting, becoming a camera operator and broadcast engineer at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United. This experience gave me a unique perspective on the intersection of live production and broadcast engineering.
Today, I serve as the Technical Director at PFN TV, where I manage live production, crew, and broadcast operations. What makes my work special is my ability to combine a deep understanding of audio and video with a passion for creative storytelling. I am also a licensed drone operator, taking on side projects for the city of Atlanta and other corporate clients, which allows me to explore new ways to capture and share compelling visuals. I love using my technical expertise and creative vision to deliver high-quality results, whether I’m in the studio, on the field, or in the skies
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The person who saw me clearly before I could see myself was my mother. From a young age, she always invested in my creative ideas, no matter how big or small. She instilled in me the belief that knowledge is power and that a vision must be pursued with effort and determination. Her unwavering support and encouragement gave me the confidence to pursue my passions and never give up on an idea without giving it my all
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to be patient and follow my own path. Don’t worry so much about friends or external pressures; instead, focus on my family and my own growth
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, it is. For a long time, I focused on mastering one skill at a time, so I didn’t always share the full scope of my creativity. But now I feel like the time is right to showcase my new talents and bring all the different parts of my story together.
Moving from an audio engineer to an entrepreneur and then to a broadcast professional has allowed me to combine my technical expertise with my creative vision in a way I’ve never fully shared before. I’m excited to finally bring all these talents to the forefront
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope people tell about me is one of a person who never stopped evolving. They would say that I was someone who pursued every creative idea I had, thanks to the early encouragement of my mother who taught me that “knowledge is power
Ultimately, I hope they tell a story about someone who was authentic—who wasn’t afraid to show their true, multi-faceted self to the world. A person who was patient, who took life slow, and who focused on their own path and family, all while constantly learning and adapting to create something new.
