Hi Kaitlyn , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I got married in 2020, I knew my two beloved fur babies, Waylon and Bluebell, had to be part of my dream day. I envisioned them trotting down the aisle in bow ties and flower crowns, posing for pictures, and sharing in the joy of my special day. But making that dream a reality was not a simple task!
Finding someone I trusted to transport my large dogs to the venue, keep them hydrated and entertained, ensure they behaved, and get them home safely was nearly impossible. It quickly turned into a logistical nightmare.
That’s when it hit me: what if there was a service designed specifically for dog-loving brides like me to include their pups in their wedding day without the stress? Because I experienced the struggle myself, I knew in my heart what brides like me needed to make their day complete—their fur babies by their side.
And just like that, W+B Weddings was born. Waylon and Bluebell inspired, my beloved pups who sparked an idea where brides can celebrate their big day worry-free—knowing their fur babies are in loving, capable hands!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
W+B Weddings is approaching an exciting milestone—five years of providing Wedding Day Dog Care! Like any small business, the road hasn’t always been smooth. There have been moments of self-doubt, lessons in managing costs, and the ongoing challenge of refining best practices.
But through it all, two things have remained unwavering: my love for my dogs, Waylon and Bluebell, and my belief in the brides who share that same deep bond with their furry companions.
These incredible women and their families have welcomed me into one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Many have become lifelong friends. I’ve watched their families grow, celebrated new beginnings, and mourned beside them in moments of loss—when their beloved pups crossed the rainbow bridge.
The challenges I’ve faced pale in comparison to the blessings this business has brought me. I never take for granted the trust couples place in us to care for their pets on such a special day. Being their wedding day dog attendant is more than a service—it’s a privilege.
We’ve been impressed with W+B Weddings , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

My dear friends Kathleen and Shannon were instrumental in helping me shape the vision. They believed in the idea when it was just a spark, encouraged me to pursue it, and helped me see the potential in turning a personal challenge into a meaningful service.
Their support along with my amazing family, combined with the passion God placed in my heart, gave me the courage to build a business that celebrates the bond between people and their dogs.
