Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanna/ Jade’s Desire Douglas.

Hi Shanna/ Jade’s Desire, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, funny story, this wasn’t my journey it was something that just happened, and it took off. You know how Facebook has groups, well my high school created a after dark group, and you know what that means, any and everything. Well, I have always been comfortable with myself sexually due to how I was raised, so it was nothing for me to give my two cents on crazy comments when they talked about sex, and I always called out their foolishness and corrected them, One of the girls in the group told me that I needed to start a blog on sex, I blew it off, but after that everyone started asking me questions about sex and various positions.

So, I started a blog that was supposed to be twice a week, but turned into almost everyday, little did I know I was also being watched by a publishing company. They reached out to me and asked me did I ever think about turning my blog into a book, it it was a stern and quick No, since I am not a author and never wanted to be one, or pretended to be one. After about 3 months of them reaching out to me, I finally talk to now my other half and my mother to see what they thought, and they said it couldn’t hurt, and I did it.

Coming up with a suedo was the hard part, I have 4 boys and a step son, and I was writing their names down for a family event and it spelled out Jade’s, I was like ok I like that, and my other half came up with Desire, because he said that he desired me so other men would as well, and that’s how I came up with the name.

I began writing not knowing what I was going to write about, so I started writing about my sexual experiences, and things that I liked disliked, wanted to try and tried, and it went from there. I let my sister circle read the rough draft, I let my other half and people that I knew, that would be harshly and completely honest with me and they loved it, I also got had a stranger read it to get a honest reaction, and he said he was so turned on he couldn’t wait to let his girlfriend know about the book

After completing the first book, I started on the on the second book, and decided that I wanted to start a business that helps not only women but couples, so Tasteful Treasures came to life, I do sex and food segments with Chef G, for couples date nights, and things to help to keep the spark in the bedroom. Even though I’m a chef, I wanted to bring in a male aspect, so we do video’s to teach couple’s quick tips on intimacy, hench the creation of the BINGO game, that is BINGO for adults and couples

Now, I’m just focusing on rebranding and relaunching the business with not only the books, and games I have adult toys as well

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, between the judgement of others, financial hardships, it’s been extremely hard, plus me getting in my own way it’s been difficult.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a General Manager at a Fine Dining restaurant in Sandy Springs, Ga. I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 plus years, I have my culinary degree, my Bachelor’s in Hospitality and Hotel management and also my Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality.

I seriously specialize in sex and food, because of the industry that I work in and my vision to be global when it comes to teaching and talking about sex.

I am known for my over the top book signings, because it’s not just a book signing it’s a whole vibe and party and so much fun

I’m the most proud of my boys, I was a single mother of 4 from the southside of Chicago, and I didn’t have to worry about gangs or drugs, the worst my oldest sons give me is weed, and that’s not bad. I have one beautiful granddaughter and the best bonus granddaughter that anyone could ever ask for, they are the center of my life. I’m proud of them because they are successful, and still making moves, my oldest has his own catering business, my second oldest is finishing his degree in Architect he also has written a tv series and a small production company that caters to the LBGT community

What sets me apart is that this is literally my life non fiction, and it’s more relatable than fiction because these are things that I have done and tried and give my honest feedback and suggestions on

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
My industry is a billion dollar industry, I honestly don’t see it going anywhere, hopefully in the next 5 years people will be more educated and I will be touring all over the world with my book and promoting my tv series
