We recently had the chance to connect with Coach Roxy and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Coach, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Today September 25,2025 I celebrate 11 years of being an entrepreneur and it was the best decision I could make so I could become full-time just 4 years ago. There was definitely a lot of hard work, restless nights, and times where I just wanted to give it all up, but something kept telling me don’t stop so I didn’t. I can say I am so glad that I didn’t because working a 9-5 just wasn’t for me. One of the best things I love about being an entrepreneur and in my industry is that I don’t have to be in no particular place to make money. I make my money digitally through my phone while I catch flights not feelings (lol) and enjoy the life I owed to myself.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Coach Roxy and well known across the internet as the “Vending Queen,” I am a business coach for single women and moms to teach them how to bring in residual digital money so they can break free from the 9-5 while building generational wealth. It took me to go through a medical setback upcoming a decade ago of surviving a brain tumor to give me the light bulb to focus on that vision because God blessed me through that procedure for a reason. I took these to the next level (my company name) for real because I could no longer play with the time I was blessed to still have. Currently I am working on getting into women’s correctional institutions as a speaker so I can go speak to them and give them ideas to think about when they’re released. I want to leave them with a workbook to work on brainstorming and doing some assignments I’ll have attached inside to keep their minds on the prize no matter what. Nobody should feel like there’s nothing out there for them upon being released from prison and I want them to know they’re walking into the freedom of becoming an entrepreneur just like myself.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
This is a great question because as I said I am known as the “Vending Queen” and the reason behind that is because my biggest audience so far has worked with me for vending machine business coaching so I could help them get this business going. I mastered 1001 (goal was 1000) students to enroll in one of my three or all vending business services in August so I decided to close that chapter of coaching. I enjoyed the last 5 years of teaching what I mastered on my own from scratch, just a lot of research, watching YouTube videos, and taking notes to put it into action. There comes a time for everything, and it was time for me to hang up that side and focus more so on helping these women build their business structure with quality and brand. I know mainly focus on business startup coaching services from getting them setup on up to getting funding and help them market to their audience.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Heck yea! More than one time so to speak since you asked! Business isn’t all fine and dandy like some make it look. You are really working for yourself and if you don’t show up, you won’t get paid! One of the biggest challenges was when I did take the leap of faith to making my business full-time and had to realize okay the only money coming in now is from the business but that’s got to take care of both ends (personal and business). I’ll say the first 6 months was a little rocky just to get a budget in place and have money where it needs to be, so things are taken care of. Although I was bringing in at least $10K per month off my vending machine business, there’s still debt and bills to be handled. I had also become a single mom during this time so that was another part to look at and no matter what I couldn’t let my child see me how I was really looking sometimes because I did this for us. Overall once I got a budget system into place and then put myself on payroll from my company, the rest was history.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that when someone pays me for a service that I stand firm and hard on delivering just what they paid for if not more because of the price I charge is nowhere near what they get in return. I never want anyone saying they didn’t get their money worth, or the service wasn’t really worth buying. I’ve been in those situations before where I didn’t get nothing out of what I invested into someone’s service or coaching program, but I just accept the L and keep going so I could for one get back what I invested while doing my own research to cover what I didn’t get. I always look in the mirror and ask myself is that what you would want if you were in their shoes to help me make the right decisions. I always have to still be a student so I can deliver what needs to be heard. All of my can count on one hand (lol) closest friends can vouch on this and say the same thing.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
In this case, I would first off stop putting a long overdue project on hold and finish it up to be released. I won’t mention what it is because it’s still a secret until I do go live one day with it. Another thing I would do is stop coaching entirely so I can travel the world even more but without having to take time aside for zoom meetings with my clients. My other businesses are all on go with or without me so I don’t have to be present to make the money, it’s digital and can see it all from my phone.
