Hi Frederick, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Frederick Brown, CEO founder of FredroStar Productions LLC
I’m originally from Flint, Michigan, moved to Alabama where I graduated from Alabama A&M University.
I have always been a visionary and an artsy person. While in college I had my parent’s Camcorder and film Camera that I walked around campus with filming and snapping images. I used to go to Walmart every two weeks to develop, print and add the images to an album college book, not knowing that I was preparing for what I am today.
Fast forward to 2010, one day I was in need of a 30 second Commercial add from myself showcasing my Modeling (At that time) LOL, Mime Dance ministry (for my church) and Music editing. So, the Gentleman I reached out to gave me this ridiculous price that was to me, way out of my budget range. Instantly, i became upset and determined to get my own project done. What did i do out of anger? i went to Best Buy , bought a canon Camera, video editing software and created my own 30 sec commercial. FredroStar Productions Was Now Birth and Created out of frustration.
Now 2024, I am a successful LLC Photography business and I have work for and with over a total 300 clients, companies both small and large Businesses.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing comes easy when it comes to high expectations. I had to find myself, My image, My Brand and stay consistent. You can easily gain the audience attention, then what? how can you close the deal, bring the clients in and sell yourself to gain a relationship? So I had to understand my craft and brand , then showcase my work that catered to different categories like Weddings, Real Estate, Maternity, Headshots and Senior Portraits etc. once I found my flow, I developed relationships and then Word of mouth became a key success towards my business.
