Today we’d like to introduce you to Denise Jackson.
Hi Denise, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I relocated from Elkhart, Indiana, to Georgia about seven years ago to expand my career and create new opportunities in the beauty industry. I’ve been a hairstylist and business owner for over 29 years, and throughout my journey, I’ve always been passionate about healthy hair, scalp care, and helping clients feel confident inside and out.
Over the years, I’ve earned certifications as a Hair Loss Practitioner, Trichology Associate, Wig Maker, and Cosmetology Paraprofessional. My experience has allowed me to serve men, women, and children from all walks of life, and it’s been rewarding to see the difference proper hair and scalp care can make.
When I relocated to Georgia, I wanted to bring something fresh — a space that blends beauty, wellness, and education. That vision has guided me to create a brand that not only focuses on styling but also on restoring confidence through holistic hair and scalp solutions. My journey continues to evolve as I pursue advanced studies in trichology, cosmetic branding, and Japanese scalp massage — all to elevate the client experience and expand my impact in the beauty and wellness industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has helped me grow stronger and more grounded in my purpose. Relocating from Indiana to Georgia meant starting over in a new market where I had to rebuild my clientele from the ground up. In the beginning, I worked a part-time job to help maintain my salon suite while I focused on growing my business and getting my name out in the community.
It took about three years to build a solid and loyal clientele, but that journey taught me patience, persistence, and the importance of staying consistent even when things are slow. Looking back, I’m grateful for those seasons because they helped shape my work ethic, strengthen my faith, and prepare me for the level of success and stability I have today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a hairstylist, business owner, and certified hair loss practitioner who blends creativity, education, and wellness to help clients look and feel their best.
I specialize in healthy haircare services, custom wigs & hair pieces for men, women & children of all ethnicities and also formulating holistic beauty products.
I’m known for my expertise in healthy hair and scalp care, personalized solutions for hair loss, and creating styles that truly enhance my clients’ confidence. What sets me apart is my holistic approach — I combine over 29 years of hairstyling experience with specialized certifications in hair loss, trichology, wig making, and scalp treatments. I don’t just style hair; I educate and empower my clients, helping them understand their hair, scalp, and overall hair wellness. My focus on both beauty and health, along with a commitment to individualized care, is what truly distinguishes my work.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about our city is its incredible diversity — the mix of cultures, ideas, and experiences makes it a truly inspiring place to live, work, and grow my business. What I like least is the traffic, which can be a bit frustrating, but honestly, it’s a small price to pay for living in such a vibrant and dynamic community.
