Inspiring Conversations with Jaquarius Duncan (QD) of 777 SUPPLY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaquarius Duncan (QD).

Hi Jaquarius , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In the beginning, I always wanted to be a designer. Fashion has always been my thing, with clothing as my armor. I studied it, I dreamed of it. But my path took a turn in New York, and I had to move back to Chicago with my family. Looking back, that might have been one of the best things for me. That’s when I was able to reset and really start working on my clothing brand, 777 Supply. I then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to begin my career as a clothing designer.

I wasn’t mentally prepared at first. I wasn’t confident. I lost hope. I was in and out of it. The passion for it, the drive for it, felt like it was slipping away. That’s when I had to learn that I needed to get my mind stronger. That foundation became everything.

From there, I had to do the work. The sacrifices were real. I was in another city by myself, with no family, figuring out how to take care of myself while chasing these big dreams, like a lot of us do. I had to learn to stand on my own, face challenges alone, and keep moving forward even when it got hard. There was always a deep sense of something guiding me. I just had to figure out how to align with it. It gave me a purpose, and that is what fueled me. It gave me a focus and energy that felt unstoppable, like a machine, but entirely my own.

I committed to working out consistently, and it became more than just exercise. Training my body built my confidence. It sharpened my mind. It strengthened my will and ignited my passion. When your mind, body, and spirit are in sync, the best version of you emerges. And with that, becoming my best self inspired me to launch my fitness line.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My mind wasn’t strong at first, my decisions weren’t always for my best self, and I didn’t always know which direction to take. But I knew I couldn’t give up.

I’ve faced being scammed, homelessness, I’ve been manipulated, I’ve been taken advantage of, and even had to face an eviction. Those struggles were incredibly challenging and shook my confidence at times, but they also taught me resilience and helped me focus on rebuilding.

It put me in survival mode, and in that state, I had to rebuild my confidence and strengthen my mind so I could be prepared to take on any challenges along my journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about 777 SUPPLY?
My clothing brand style is unconventional and intentional. We break norms with asymmetrical designs and unexpected pairings that you don’t usually see. Wearing something unique empowers your movement, your mind, and opens you up to more kinetic energy.

777, the angel number, is intentionally unconventional. Just like our lives, we all share a desire to bring our mind, body, and spirit into alignment. And what better way to do it than wearing something that represents your unique path?

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I’ve learned a few things. One, always be overly prepared, because life is going to do its thing. Having your Plan B and C ready lets whatever happens next happen, because as long as you do your part, everything else is out of your hands, you can’t control everything. Do your part, plan ahead and let life flow.
