Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Henderson.
Hi Craig, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in Bedstuy, Brooklyn NY surrounded by creativity, music, and people who believed in me. I was encouraged to try, fail, and try again. That freedom shaped how I see life today. Not every child gets that support. I knew early on I wanted to help create it for others.
I was an artist, street magician, a track athlete, a piano player, and a designer. Creativity was never one lane for me. It was how I moved through the world. After studying art and building a career in design, I moved to Atlanta and worked in branding and digital media. I learned how ideas turn into products. How stories turn into culture. How visions turn into businesses.
One day I had a simple realization. Every person carries ideas. Every person carries inspiration. But most people are waiting for permission to use it.
That is where ibii was born.
I am the creator and founder of ibii™. ibii stands for “I Bring Ideas and Inspiration”. It started as a belief before it became a character. Then the character became a symbol. A reminder to kids that they are not small. They are leaders in training. They are creators. They are capable.
Today ibii is more than a character. It is workshops in schools. It is storytelling. It is media. It is products that carry meaning. It is a growing platform designed to help kids focus, love what they do, think beyond limits, and take action.
I left my 9 to 5 because this mattered more. I am building something that helps children trust their ideas and act on them early. If a child learns that now, their entire future changes.
That is the journey so far. And we are just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of my biggest battles were not outside of me but inside. I struggled with confidence, patience, and comparing my journey to others. There were times I questioned if I was enough, and I had to learn who I truly was instead of chasing who I thought I should be. I had to embrace my flaws and differences and turn them into strengths. I learned it was okay to take more time to understand something because I do not process information like everyone else, and that is not a weakness. Trying to keep up with others only pulled me away from my own timing. Personal growth and consistency became my focus. Small steps and daily effort built real confidence. Comparison almost cost me progress, yet I learned I could celebrate others while trusting my moment would come. Their success was not blocking mine. The biggest lesson was realizing I did not need validation from people still fighting the same battles. Approval does not build you. Discipline, self awareness, and action do. When I stopped trying to prove myself and started building myself, everything shifted.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Through ibii, I specialize in bringing the magic of joy, love, and creativity into every room I enter. I work primarily with elementary school children, and everything I create is designed to help them feel confident, capable, and seen. Ibii is how I turn connection into experience. I value real human connection, I pay attention to the details, and I read the room so I can meet kids where they are. I create space for laughter, fun, and ideas to grow. Wherever ibii shows up, the goal is simple, help children believe in themselves and take action on their ideas.
There was a time I dimmed myself because I did not want to seem like I was taking attention from others. Growth taught me something different. You do not shrink your light to make others comfortable. You stand in it with pure intentions. If I am misunderstood, I address it with clarity.
What sets me apart is simple. I am fully myself. I respect the energy I carry and I use it responsibly. I lead from within, not from ego, and I refuse to let low standards become normal.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
This may sound different, but I do not rely on one specific app, book, or podcast to do my best work. I am not a heavy reader, though I enjoy a strong audiobook when it grabs me. My mind connects ideas in unexpected ways. I think in patterns, visuals, and big concepts.
My greatest source of inspiration is found on my YouTube. My algorithm can move from ants versus spiders to deep space and celestial systems in one sitting. That range keeps my mind active. It reminds me how small we are in the bigger picture and how powerful our ideas can still be.
For me, inspiration is not one source. It is curiosity. It is following what makes my brain light up. That curiosity fuels ibii and how I show up for the children I serve.
