Today we’d like to introduce you to Jevante King-Woods.
Hi Jevante, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story as an artist really started when I was a kid. I was creating at 8 or 9 years old and kept going all the way through high school. But once I graduated, I stopped. I didn’t have much support, and without community, it was easy to let it go.
Fast‑forward almost a decade — I was searching for purpose and found my way back to art. I picked up a paintbrush again, and I’ve been painting ever since. I’ve now been a professional artist for almost ten years, and I’ve launched a workwear clothing brand that’s been in business for just over a year.
What happened between high school and today is honestly a journey a lot of creatives go through: trying to dream without support, without mentors, without a community to remind you that your gift matters. Social media wasn’t what it is now, so those networks didn’t exist for me back then.
But over the last several years, with the support of family, mentors, and the people who believe in my work, I’ve been able to take real chances — and those chances have paid off.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t been smooth, but there have definitely been bright moments along the way. Early on, I struggled to get noticed. The field was crowded — some people creating out of passion, others just decent enough to move fast and sell things cheaper. Navigating that made me question myself. I dealt with imposter syndrome, wondering if I belonged or if I was actually good enough. I’ve had my battles with mental health too.
But every time I’ve pushed through those moments, I’ve come out stronger. Those challenges have shaped my confidence and kept me moving forward. And despite everything, I’ve been able to accomplish things many people never reach.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Create Daily?
Create Daily is a workwear‑driven art and lifestyle brand built from the belief that creativity is a discipline, not a moment. I’m a professional artist of nearly a decade, and the brand grew out of my studio practice — the same hands that paint are the hands designing the clothing. Everything we make is rooted in intention, storytelling, and the idea that showing up every day matters.
We specialize in workwear, functional pieces, and capsule collections that blend art, culture, and utility. What sets us apart is that the brand isn’t chasing trends — it’s built from lived experience, from years of creating, failing, learning, and rebuilding. Every design comes from a real place, whether it’s a motif from my paintings, a phrase that’s carried me through tough seasons, or a visual language shaped by community.
I’m most proud of the fact that Create Daily has become more than clothing. It’s a mindset. It’s a reminder to stay consistent, stay curious, and stay committed to your craft. The brand has grown because people connect with that message — artists, entrepreneurs, students, parents, anyone trying to build something meaningful.
What I want readers to know is this: Create Daily is for the doers. For the people who show up even when it’s hard. For the ones who are building their purpose brick by brick. We offer apparel, art, and creative experiences that reflect that journey. And everything we put out is designed with the same care, intention, and authenticity that brought me back to art in the first place.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I would have to combine multiple moments into one for my favorite childhood memory. My favorite memory would be summer breaks from school growing up. Those were the moments I really got to be free and travel. Me being from Ohio those were the times I visited DMV a lot and is when I was introduced to Atlanta as child. In these moments I got to create freely and be free with friends and family.
