Today we’d like to introduce you to Dia Fioretti.
Hi Dia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Dear Voyage Atlanta Team,
I am honored to share my story for the Hidden Gems: Inspiring Stories Series. My name is Dia Fawn Fioretti. I am a 56-year-old wife and mother of two daughters, ages 19 and 30, and my journey is rooted in a lifelong commitment to integrative healing.
Today, I am a modern-day medicine woman—a nurse and intuitive healer. In my work, I use sound frequencies the way others use medicine: therapeutic vibrations that calm the nervous system, help release stored trauma in the body, and promote deep healing.
My career began with 15 years of devotion to clinical practice. I worked as a pediatric nurse and child development specialist, moved into endocrinology research, and later transitioned into durable medical equipment sales. When my second child was born, I chose to step away from the workplace to be home with my daughters, but I never let go of my calling.
I have always had a strong intuitive awareness—an inner sense that guided me from childhood through my years in nursing. I stayed connected to my profession, maintained my license, and trusted that in time I would find my way back to the healing arts, even if I didn’t yet know what that would look like.
In 2020, a horse accident changed everything. I sustained a traumatic brain injury and required several oral-facial surgeries. In the aftermath, I developed dysautonomia, a disorder of the autonomic nervous system. I did everything traditional medicine prescribed—tests, protocols, medications—but it was devastating to realize that the very system I had trusted for so long could not bring me back to a place of healing.
My body remained stuck in a constant state of fight or flight, and I couldn’t find my way out.
During that year of recovery, while homebound due to both my accident and the onset of COVID-19, I became a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in the state of Georgia, specializing in fawns. In their own way, these animals became part of my healing. Caring for animals who cannot verbalize pain deepened my ability to sense and respond intuitively. I learned to listen to the subtle language of the nervous system—something that would later become foundational to my work with sound.
In 2021, I traveled to Maui in search of natural healing modalities. It was there that I experienced sound healing for the first time. In that moment, something profound shifted. For the first time since my accident, my body felt safe, and my nervous system settled.
While in Maui, I also discovered a meaningful personal connection. My birth name is Dia Fawn, and I learned that the Hawaiian word for deer is “Dea,” pronounced the same as Dia. It felt as though my journey had come full circle—connecting my name, my path, and my purpose.
When I returned home, I immersed myself in the study of sound healing. While continuing to travel extensively for my daughter’s national equestrian competitions, I eventually took my first formal training in 2024.
By 2025, as my youngest daughter prepared to leave for college, I reached a turning point. After years of pouring into my family and setting my own path aside, the transition into an empty nest brought an unexpected sense of loss and reflection. In that space, I realized I was ready to fully step into this work and rediscover myself.
I committed to this path and chose to pursue the highest level of training, earning my diploma as a Sound Healing Practitioner through the Sound Healing Academy, an intensive, globally recognized program.
Today, I work with frequency and vibration the way others work with medicine. I use 432 Hz crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant instruments to support the nervous system in returning to balance.
There is growing science behind this work. Frequency and vibration can help regulate the nervous system, shifting the brain into more restorative states and creating the conditions for stored stress and trauma to soften and release. Alongside that, I bring a deeply attuned awareness to each session—sensing where the body is holding patterns and what is ready to shift.
Through everything I’ve overcome, I have reinvented myself. Now, I stand fully in my purpose: offering others the same healing that transformed me—and proving it is never too late to rediscover who you are.
My nursing career gave me the scientific foundation; my intuition—honed through wildlife rehabilitation—and sound healing gave me the tools to help others access deeper states of balance. Looking back, I can see that every challenge, every loss, and every unexpected turn was guiding me here. Even when I couldn’t see it in the moment, it was all unfolding in perfect timing—shaping me into exactly who I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and I think that’s precisely what shaped me. Choosing to step away from my nursing career to raise my children was a deeply intentional decision, yet it was hard. I knew it was right, but along the way, I lost a sense of myself. Then came my accident, which shook the foundations of everything I once believed. Western medicine, which I had dedicated my life to, couldn’t provide all the answers I needed. That realization was painful but eye-opening—it revealed a world of natural healing that I had never fully explored. When my oldest left for college, that void was immense—I felt lost, asking who I was beyond wife and mother.
The physical and emotional struggles that followed were immense, but each challenge—whether it was healing from trauma, deepening the intuition I had always carried, or even watching my daughters grow and leave—guided me to where I am. My nursing career gave me the scientific foundation; my intuition, strengthened through wildlife rehabilitation, and sound healing gave me the tools to connect deeply with others. In the end, every struggle had its purpose, and it’s why today I can offer others the same healing I fought to find.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My work is rooted in a unique integration of science, intuition, spirituality, and sound frequency. I don’t approach healing from just one lens—I bring together my background in nursing, my deep intuitive abilities, and my advanced training in sound healing to create an experience that is both grounded and transformative.
What truly sets me apart is my ability to bridge clinical understanding with energetic healing. With many years as a nurse, my education in nursing also included a foundational understanding of psychology and trauma. I am able to safely guide clients through emotional releases that often arise during sound healing sessions. When someone is processing trauma or stored emotion, I don’t just hold space—I understand what’s happening in the nervous system and can actively support them through it in a way that many practitioners cannot.
In addition, my time as a licensed wildlife rehabilitator—working closely with animals who cannot verbalize their needs—deepened my intuitive awareness in a profound way. I learned how to listen beyond words, to sense subtle shifts in the nervous system. That ability now plays a critical role in how I work with clients.
Every session I offer is completely customized. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach in my practice. Whether I am working one-on-one or with a group, I intuitively design each experience based on what is needed in that moment—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

What I am most known for is the depth of transformation that happens within my sessions. I don’t just offer relaxation—I work at the level of the nervous system to help the body move out of fight-or-flight and into a state where true healing can occur. I am also known for my bespoke group sound baths, which I custom design for each group—tailoring every element to the specific needs, dynamics, and intentions of the participants. Every sound bath, every session, every experience is intentionally written and created from the ground up. My work is deeply personal, highly attuned, and designed to meet people exactly where they are—while gently guiding them to where they are meant to be.
