Today we’d like to introduce you to Oky Arthur.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started at a wedding. The moment I saw the photo booth, something different from the typical mall version. I immediately thought it was such a great vintage idea. There was something nostalgic and fun about it that really stuck with me. I went home and couldn’t sleep, replaying the experience in my head. When I looked at the photo strips from that night, I knew I could create something even better.
I began attending events just to study photo booths how they worked, how people interacted with them, and what made the experience memorable. I realized quickly that it wasn’t just about photos; it was about creating moments people would hold onto. With over 24 years of experience in marketing, photography, and customer service, I also saw a gap many companies lacked both professional-grade equipment and a strong client experience.
That’s when I made the leap. I left a stable 14-year career to start my own company. With my partner Jana, we invested in our first booth focusing on top-tier technology, from high-end cameras to water-resistant prints. Just two months later, we added an open-air booth with a red carpet setup, and within five months, we launched Georgia’s first photo booth on wheels.
Fast forward to today, and the company has grown far beyond what I first imagined. We now offer a wide range of photo booth experiences from classic setups to modern, fully customized installations. We’ve expanded into corporate activations, working with brands to create engaging, high-impact experiences.
One of our most exciting additions is our robot photo booth experience. It’s not just about taking pictures, it’s about creating something unforgettable. The robot interacts with guests, captures high-quality images, and then transforms those photos into stunning AI-generated visuals in real time. Guests can see themselves reimagined in completely different styles, whether it’s glamorous, futuristic, cinematic, or even -inspired. The reactions are always the same: surprise, laughter, and that “wow” moment when they see the final result. It turns a simple photo into a personalized piece of art, making the experience feel unique and share-worthy.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of being part of more than 3,000 events. What hasn’t changed is the core mission: making sure every event ends with people smiling, laughing, and feeling like they experienced something special.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but that’s part of what’s shaped who we are today. One of the biggest challenges has been helping clients truly understand everything that goes into what we do. A lot of people think a photo booth is just a camera and a backdrop, but the experience starts long before the event and continues after it.
From the very first email or phone call, we focus on creating a seamless, high-end experience. Clear communication, thoughtful planning, and attention to detail are all part of the service. And it doesn’t end when the event is over our clients receive their digital images as part of the experience, so they can relive and share those moments right away.
At social events like weddings and family celebrations, we go far beyond just taking photos. We design fully personalized photo strips and create custom guest books filled with copies of every photo along with heartfelt messages from friends and family. Those become keepsakes people treasure for years.
On the corporate side, the challenge and opportunity is even bigger. We’re not just entertaining guests; we’re helping brands connect with their audience in a meaningful way. Our experiences are designed to capture more than just photos we can also collect valuable data (with proper consent), build customer databases, and provide post-event analytics. That means companies don’t just get a fun activation; they get real insights into engagement, reach, and audience interaction. With instant sharing capabilities, every photo becomes a marketing touchpoint, allowing brands to reach thousands of people in real time and create content that’s actually engaging and shareable.
Another challenge is perception. Sometimes clients come across what seems like a great deal, but not all photo booths are created equal. There are companies that treat it as an add-on, using basic webcams and minimal setup. And while that might look similar on the surface, the experience is completely different. I always tell clients, it’s like hiring a DJ to cater your wedding. You might get something, but it’s not going to be the level of quality you were expecting.
At the end of the day, what we do is about delivering an experience not just a product and helping clients understand that difference has been one of the biggest (and most important) challenges.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At our core, we create high-end, fully customized photo experiences, but what we really do is create moments people remember.
We offer a wide range of photo booth options, from classic enclosed styles to modern open-air setups, as well as interactive experiences like our robot photo booth, which captures images and transforms them into stunning AI-generated visuals that truly wow guests. We’re always innovating, constantly investing in the best technology and partnering with top-tier software to make sure our clients get a seamless, modern, and elevated experience every time.
Because we do a lot of weddings in North Georgia, we also created something truly unique: a remodeled horse trailer called Amour. It’s a one-of-a-kind photo booth in Georgia, designed not only to function as a booth but also to double as a beautiful prop for photographers. It blends perfectly into outdoor and rustic weddings, adding charm, character, and an unforgettable visual element to the event.
For social events like weddings and private celebrations, we specialize in elevating the experience beyond just photos. Everything is personalized from the design of the photo strips to custom guest books filled with images and heartfelt messages. Those details turn a fun moment into something meaningful that people can hold onto for years.
On the corporate side, we’re known for creating activations that go far beyond entertainment. We help brands connect with their audience through engaging, shareable experiences. Our booths can collect data (with consent), build customer databases, and provide post-event analytics, giving clients real insights into engagement and reach while turning every interaction into a marketing opportunity.
What truly sets us apart is our focus on the entire experience. From the very first email or call to the final delivery of digital images, everything is intentional. We combine professional-grade equipment, thoughtful design, and a high level of customer service to ensure every event feels seamless and elevated. And a huge part of that is our team, an incredible group of fun, energetic, and genuinely great people who know how to engage with guests and elevate the atmosphere at every event.
What I’m most proud of is that, no matter how much we’ve grown, we’ve stayed true to one thing: making people feel something. Whether it’s laughter, surprise, or nostalgia, we know we’ve done our job when guests walk away smiling and our clients feel like they received something truly special.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I wouldn’t say I take risks blindly, but I do believe in trusting your vision when you see an opportunity.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was leaving a job I had for 14 years to start a business in an industry I didn’t fully know yet. At the time, it wasn’t the “safe” decision, but I felt strongly that I could build something better. I saw the gaps, I understood the importance of customer experience, and I was confident I could make an impact if I committed to it fully.
Another big step was expanding internationally and opening a sister company in South America. That came with its own challenges managing operations from a distance, traveling back and forth, and adapting to a different market. It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone.
What’s made those risks manageable and ultimately successful, Jana my partner and the team behind us. Having a strong, reliable, and passionate team makes all the difference. It allows me to focus on growth and innovation, knowing that the day-to-day execution is in great hands.
For me, risk isn’t about jumping into the unknown without a plan. It’s about recognizing potential, preparing as much as you can, and then having the courage to move forward anyway.
