Today we’d like to introduce you to Madeleine Minotto.
Hi Madeleine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was in digital marketing for about three years before deciding to go off on my own. In December 2024, I picked up a contracting role while I was searching for a full-time job in social media and marketing, but during that time something clicked. I realized I could actually do this for myself full-time.
By February 2025, I started putting myself out there, joining networking groups, meeting people, and saying yes to opportunities. At that point, I didn’t even have a business name yet. I was just doing social media and graphic design as a freelancer and figuring it out as I went.
As I kept networking, I built up my client base, and by summer I really found my niche in content creation and social media management. I also got more intentional, letting go of clients that didn’t align. While I loved the flexibility of remote work, I realized I missed connecting with clients in person, which led me to officially launch Sundrip Social in June 2025. I still feel like I’m just getting started.
It’s been a fun, sometimes chaotic journey, but I’m at a point now where I have clients I genuinely love working with.
I really pride myself on being flexible. I’m very type B, I go with the flow, and I’ll always work with my clients to make things happen. If something isn’t working or needs to change last minute, we pivot. I’m also always up for a challenge. If that means hopping on the back of a motorcycle to get the shot, I’m there, just don’t ask me to drive.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, definitely not. I don’t think anyone has a completely smooth road when starting a business, but it’s 100% worth it. Coming from a corporate 9–5 where I was working for someone else, the pros of having my own business outweigh the cons by a million times.
One of my biggest challenges was figuring out who I actually wanted to work with and what my niche was. In my corporate role, I wore so many hats that I got used to saying yes to everything. When I started my own business, I had to unlearn that and realize I can’t and shouldn’t do it all.
Another big learning curve was boundaries. I had none in my corporate job, and it led to burnout. Starting my own business made me realize I actually get to create those boundaries, and that having them isn’t rude or a bad thing, it’s necessary.
That being said, I’m still very flexible. I’ll absolutely answer a client on a Saturday night if they text me, it’s just now it’s on my terms.
It’s been a lot of trial and error, but it’s helped me get really clear on my niche, my clients, and how I want to run my business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sundrip Social ?
I’m a social media content creator and social media manager, offering both content creation and social media management services, either separately or combined depending on what my clients need.
I specialize in content creation and hands-on social media management, and I’ve really found my niche in working closely with clients to bring their brand to life in a way that feels natural and authentic. I’m known for being very flexible and easy to work with. I’m definitely more “type B,” I go with the flow, adapt quickly, and if something isn’t working or needs to change last minute, I’ll pivot and make it happen. Social media is constantly changing, and I understand that, so I stay flexible and adjust strategies as needed to keep things relevant and effective.
What sets me apart is how personalized everything is. I’m not an agency, I’m a person you actually get to work with. I take the time to understand each client, their brand, and their goals so the content feels true to them, not templated or one-size-fits-all.
I’m really proud of how I’ve built my brand, Sundrip Social, from the ground up. It started as me freelancing without even a business name, and has grown into something that feels very aligned with who I am and the type of work I want to do. I’ve gotten to a point where I have clients I genuinely love working with, which was always the goal.
Overall, I want people to know that I’m someone who will work with you, not just for you. I care about creating content that actually fits your brand, and I bring a mix of flexibility, fun, and a little bit of chaos (the good kind) into everything I do.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
