Today we’d like to introduce you to LaNise Thrasher.
Hi LaNise, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m LaNise Thrasher, a Life Coach, Speaker, and Author known as The Love Cheerleader®. I help high-performing women navigate heartbreak and life transitions so they can stop being “the strong one,” pause, heal, and come back to themselves with clarity, confidence, and peace.
My journey into this work started with my own experience going through a divorce. On the outside, I was still showing up, still functioning, and still doing what needed to be done. But internally, I was navigating heartbreak, identity shifts, and the emotional weight that comes with starting over.
What stood out to me during that time was how often women are praised for being strong. We are encouraged to keep going, push through, and hold everything together, but not necessarily to pause and process what we are feeling.
As I began doing my own healing work, I realized that so many women were experiencing the same thing. That is what led me to start coaching. Over time, my work evolved into what I now call The P.A.U.S.E. Challenge®, a framework that helps women slow down, process their emotions, reconnect with themselves, and rebuild their lives with clarity, confidence, and peace.
Today, I use my voice through coaching, speaking, and my book to help women stop surviving and start living fully aligned with who they truly are.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, especially when it comes to building a purpose-driven business.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance impact and sustainability. When you are passionate about helping people, it is easy to focus only on serving and overlook the structure, strategy, and systems needed to actually grow a business.
I had to learn how to position my work clearly, communicate my value, and price my services in a way that reflects the transformation I provide. That was a major shift from simply wanting to help to understanding how to build something that can truly last.
There were also moments of trial and error when it came to marketing, visibility, and putting myself out there consistently. Growth required me to become more confident, more strategic, and more disciplined in how I showed up.
At the same time, my personal journey gave me the foundation for the work I do. I am not teaching something I have not walked through. That combination of lived experience and business growth has shaped how I serve today.
Now, I approach my work with both heart and structure. I am able to support my clients in their healing while also helping them move forward in a clear and intentional way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Love Cheerleader® is a coaching and personal development brand focused on helping women navigate heartbreak, burnout, and major life transitions.
I specialize in working with women who are used to being “the strong one.” Many of them are high-performing, driven, and accustomed to showing up for everyone else, but they often do not take the time to process what they have been through themselves.
What I am known for is helping women pause long enough to gain clarity. My signature framework, The P.A.U.S.E. Challenge®, guides women through processing their emotions, reconnecting with themselves, and rebuilding their lives with intention.
What sets my work apart is that I do not just focus on healing the pain. I help women rediscover their identity. After heartbreak or a major life shift, many women ask, “Who am I now?” That is a big part of the work we do together.
My approach is also faith-based, which allows my clients to not only heal emotionally but also reconnect spiritually and build a stronger foundation moving forward.
I am also the author of It Takes Courage To Do This: How to Remove the Mask and Break Up with Heartbreak, where I share my personal story along with the framework I teach my clients. The book has allowed me to reach women beyond coaching and serve as a resource for those who are ready to begin their healing journey.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of the impact. From coaching clients who experience real transformation, to my book reaching women in different spaces, to speaking engagements where women walk away with clarity and breakthroughs, it all reinforces that this work is needed.
I want readers to know that healing is possible, but it requires intention. You do not have to carry everything alone, and you do not have to figure it out by yourself.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
One of the biggest things that has worked for me is being intentional about building real relationships. It is not just about networking for opportunity, but about connecting with people in a genuine way.
When it comes to finding a mentor, I encourage people to look for alignment, not just access. It is not about finding the most visible person, but someone whose values, lifestyle, and approach align with where you are trying to go.
I have also learned that mentorship does not always have to be formal. Sometimes it looks like learning from someone’s content, attending their events, or being in spaces where you can observe how they think and operate.
When it comes to networking, consistency matters. Staying connected, following up, supporting others, and showing up in rooms, whether virtual or in person, has opened many doors for me.
Most importantly, do not wait until you feel ready to start building relationships. Growth happens in proximity, and the more you put yourself in the right environments, the more opportunities naturally begin to unfold.
