Check Out Kali Humphries’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kali Humphries.

Kali, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For my whole life, I have lived West of Atlanta, formally known as West Georgia. As I have grown older, I have only come to appreciate the community that I come from more. However, it was not until after I had my first child that I started to appreciate the area for different aspects than before. From the West Georgia Regional Library System, to the parks and playgrounds, to the educational opportunities and experiences, there is so much to explore and take advantage of as a family raising children in West Georgia.
In much of West Georgia, the distance from the Alabama state line to downtown Atlanta is equal and there is so much to explore between the two. For that reason, I began The West Georgia Mom Page.
Through sharing all of the best locations to play, adventure, learn, and eat specifically for families in and around West Georgia, I have had the opportunity to not only open doors of experiences for my children, but meet so many wonderful business owners, founders, and local hero’s that make our area a place many enjoy raising families.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Because of friends, family, and community support, growing The West Georgia Mom social pages has been a smooth, but also fun road. To add, I have gotten a great deal of support from other mom creators in the state who cover other areas. I have many interactive plans and opportunities for families, individuals, and businesses that can come from this page, if I can maintain and add more growth.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a stay at home mom, I find myself doing anything but staying at home. I’m not a teacher, but I spend my nights planning and coordinating the best learning experiences for my children to attend. I’m not an event planner, but I know the ins and outs of all of the indoor and outdoor locations in multiple counties where a birthday party can be held.
The West Georgia mom was never intended to be solely a social media page for viewing, but rather the creation of community. TWGM highlights and promotes specifically mom owned businesses, community hero’s, local business events, and in the works is The West Georgia Mom Walk- where moms com together to walk, talk, and let the kids play all while supporting local businesses.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Followers, likes, and word of mouth sharing is the most simple and easy way to support The West Georgia Mom page and help me grow this community to it’a most full potential.
Businesses and individuals who are interested in collaborating can view my “collaboration” story highlight as well as send an email through the button on Instagram. Whatever kind of business you are, there is a space for you to work with THe West Georgia Mom!
