Meet Alyssa Alonzo of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Alonzo.

Hi Alyssa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Alyssa Alonzo is a Mexican-American actress born and raised in Fresno, California. She began creating content at a young age through YouTube before transitioning into on-camera acting in 2018, appearing in local short films and independent productions. Over the years, she has continued to develop her craft through a variety of roles, building experience in film while refining her screen presence and emotional range. Alyssa is passionate about storytelling and is dedicated to growing her career in film and television.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was figuring out where to even begin, especially growing up in a small town where there wasn’t much connection to the acting or modeling industry. I had to navigate everything on my own—learning what worked for me as an artist, discovering my identity, and deciding the path I wanted to take.
I spent a lot of time researching just to understand how to get auditions or book modeling opportunities. There was also a significant level of personal investment involved, from paying for headshots to traveling for opportunities. At the time, I was still living in Fresno and would drive to Los Angeles for auditions, which required a lot of commitment and persistence.
Despite the challenges, I’ve always believed in my dream. It hasn’t been easy, and I’m still growing and figuring things out, but that journey is part of what continues to shape me as an artist.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an actress working across film, television, and commercials, while also modeling in runway and print. My work lives at the intersection of storytelling and visual expression, and I’ve always been drawn to both worlds.
What I’m most proud of is turning a dream into something tangible. There was a time when this path felt far from reach, but I stayed committed and believed in myself every step of the way. That belief, paired with consistency, has shaped my journey and continues to guide me.
Being in these industries has allowed me to grow far beyond performance. I’ve developed new skills, from playing instruments like piano and violin to even learning how to surf—each experience adding to my versatility and depth as an artist.
What sets me apart is my dedication and adaptability. I approach every project with intention, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset. I’m always open to learning, evolving, and finding ways to elevate the work—not just for myself, but for the entire team.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is family and the people closest to me. No matter how busy life gets, staying connected and grounded in those relationships is everything. They’ve been my support system through every stage of my journey, always encouraging me to pursue my dreams and keep going.
I come from a small, close-knit family, and having a twin sister has made that bond even stronger. We’ve always had each other’s backs, and that sense of loyalty, love, and support is something I carry with me in every part of my life. It keeps me centered and reminds me why I do what I do.
