Rising Stars: Meet Ernesto Kunde of Miami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ernesto Kunde.

Hi Ernesto, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in South Brazil on a farm, always sketching and surrounded by nature. Joe and I moved to Miami, where I’ve lived for the past 20 years, and my surroundings are my constant source of inspiration.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There weren’t many ups and downs, but the struggles came with it. Or maybe it’s because I’m from Miami, but at the same time, Miami welcomed me and has been a great ride ever since.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work is vibrant and inspired by Florida, and it reflects the colors of the state. My art is my life, and it brings me peace. I am proud of my journey, which has been an incredible ride, and I look forward to many more adventures in the future.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up on a farm and always dreamed of becoming an artist.
