Life & Work with Lindsey Frazier of Sharpsburg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Frazier.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

I’m a mostly self-taught jewelry artist who discovered my passion in a small bead shop in Fayetteville. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something much bigger—I fell in love with the creative process and never looked back.

I began selling my pieces at local craft shows, and eventually opened my own artist shop in Senoia. After five wonderful years, I chose to close the shop so I could spend more time at home with my daughter. I later partnered with a local gift shop to carry my jewelry, but that chapter came to an unexpected end due to a devastating fire.

Today, I teach jewelry-making parties from my 1,000 sq. ft. home studio. There’s something truly special about creating with your hands—it brings life to the soul. I love working with all ages and watching confidence grow as people discover what they’re capable of making.

I’m currently building my website and excited to continue sharing my passion for creativity with others.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
You truly learn as you go, and my journey has come with its share of challenges. Craft shows, while exciting, were often unpredictable—I’ve had days where sudden rain soaked everything and strong winds even flipped my booth over.

One of the hardest moments I faced was losing all of my jewelry in a fire at a local gift shop where my pieces were being sold. It was a devastating setback, but it didn’t take away my passion for creating.

Like many small businesses, I’ve also learned that getting people to book parties can be tough—life is busy, and schedules fill up quickly. Even so, I continue to push forward because I believe in what I do and the joy it brings to others.

Right now, my biggest focus (and challenge) is building a beautiful website that truly reflects my work and story.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I enjoy creating a variety of jewelry. I don’t like to be pinned down to just one style. I’ve been known for my leather & pearls. I think what sets me apart from a lot of artists is that I don’t gate keep. Life is to short to not share your knowledge. I believe that God gives us purpose so that we can share it & help others

How do you define success?
For me success is not just about money but bringing joy to others and living in your purpose.

Pricing:

  • I started out using a formula: cost of materials times 3 leaves room for wholesale and Sales. I also pay myself for time & packaging
  • I want my jewelry to be affordable for most so I try to have fair pricing
  • With the cost of silver & gold you definitely need to plan for cost going up when it comes to re buying
