Check Out Coach T’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coach T.

Hi Coach, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I played football all through out my youth. I played football at Millikan H.S in Long Beach, Ca. I coached pop warner football in Long Beach CA as well as at Morningside High School in Inglewood as well as at Dorsey high school in Los Angeles. I train athletes as well as organized football camps. I am now involved in flag football. My daughters played basketball in high school so I have always been a supporter of women’s sports. Now I am working with flag football helping athletes gain exposure to achieve the goal of college acceptance.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggle that I face now is helping the athletes receive the recognition and exposure that they deserve. Women’s sports do not receive the attention that it deserves. My mission is to bring awareness to the sport. And to help the world to see how important and how hard these young ladies work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My day job is Climate Advocate for University High School. My job is to strengthen engagement between students, faculty and the community.. this includes supporting and mentoring students, implementing safety and preserving the culture of the school. I act as a bridge between the school and the community. It is a rewarding job.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I believe that supporting our youth today, will help to improve our future.
