Community Highlights: Meet Jarmal Stevens of Travel For Fun

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarmal Stevens.

Hi Jarmal, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was introduced to the travel business in 2014, but I only recruited other travel agents.
I was asked by a young lady who used to be in my organization to book a trip for her and friends in 2018.
The light bulb went off and saw how simple it was to book travel for other for other people rather ask them to become travel agents.

From then on I saw how important marketing was. People wanted my product so I focused my efforts on marketing travel and learning how to get inside the networks of other people

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has been challenges, one thing I had to learn is that people don’t owe their business. So learning to take the emotions out of it was what I had to learn along the way

We’ve been impressed with Travel For Fun , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in all inclusive trips.
I think my patience and consistency is what sets me apart from other agents. You have to nice to people who may not be ready to purchase.

I would like readers to know I am hear for all their travel needs from girl trips, family trips, anniversaries, honeymoons as well as business trips,

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My mother showing my brother and I what it meant to work for yourself.
She would work a 2nd job cleaning the office where she worked and would pay me and brother to help her.

That planted the seed of entrepreneurship in both of us.
