Rising Stars: Meet Janae Metcalf of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janae Metcalf.

Hi Janae, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am Pretty Naena multifaceted creative and entrepreneur based out of Georgia. I am a devoted mother, model, recording artist, and songwriter who expresses herself through both singing and rap. As the Wife of PaperRoute Jay FIzzle, I continue to build my own brand and identity in entertainment and business. Alongside music, I co-own one buisness with bestfriend that is a Artist as well Kitti Redd Pretty Kittii Kollection, a hair company. I also own Pretty Seduction, a lingerie line. After recently moving back to Georgia for life changing situations, i am focused on expanding my career, buisnesses, and influences. I’ve been through alot, I have a lot of stories to tell.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
its hasnt been easy, I went through 2 life changing events that caused me to have to move to Indiana for a couple years. But those life changing events changed me for the better and inspired me to tell my story through music. Ive been through alot since a child, but I feel I went through those things to be able to help somebody else make it through it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a music artist, songwriter, model, business owner, mother, and the Wife of PaperRoute Jay fizzle. I specialize in making real, emotional music that people can relate to through both rap and singing. I’m also known for being authentic and using my life experiences to inspire my music and connect with others on a deeper level.
Outside of music, I own my hair business Pretty Kittii Kollection and lingerie brand Pretty seduction. Everything i do represents confidence, growth, and self expression.
What I’m most proud of is overcoming every obstacle that was sent to destroy me. I’ve survived things that alot of people wouldn’t have made it through, and instead of letting it break me, I turned it into motivation and purpose through my music.
What sets me apart is that I’m unapologetically myself. I don’t try to fit in or follow trends- there’s only one Big Pretty. My story, my energy, my aura, my vibe, my light, and my authenticity are what make people connect with me.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
First and foremost, I have to give all credit to God. Without him I wouldn’t even be here today. He has kept me and kept me from losing my mind when I went through all those tough situations. Outside of God I definitely have people who deserve credit for supporting and believing in me throughout my journey. First my husband Paperroute Jay Fizzle he plays a major role by motivating me. I watch him work so hard and spend all those hours in the studio. It makes me want to go hard for my music just like him. He also inspired me a lot with my music and the stuff we have been through. My mother she one that motivate me too she encourages me at my lowest and help me build myself back up again after all those losses I took. I really have list of people I could go on and on about but my best friend she’s an artist too her name Kittii Redd that girl is my lifeline my diary therapist everything to me she helps keep me going and busy we have a lot of things coming about for people to look forward to. My Family My kids has also been a huge support system, especially by encouraging me through life’s challenges and helping me stay grounded as a mother, artist, and business owner. I also give credit to my supporters and listeners because they continue to connect with my story and music. their encouragement keeps me going and inspires me to keep creating. every person who has supported my businesses, shared my work, streamed my music, or believed in my vision has played a part in my growth and success.
