Rising Stars: Meet Levi Ransom of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Levi Ransom.

Hi Levi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began singing in church when I was 4 and learned how to play the guitar at 10. From there on, I started writing my own music and decided to make a career out of it, which has led me to where I am today!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like every journey, it’s had its ups and downs. Growing up in a career like music has taught me to never think that things are going to fall in your lap. You have to work hard to get where you want to be in an industry where there are so many other people who are striving for the same goal as you. Even if it means sending email after email to get opportunities you’ve dreamed of. Sometimes you’ll never get a response, but when you do, you feel like you’re taking that step further to where you want to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/songwriter, as well as a full time performer and music producer. I write my own original music to put out into the world and get to share it with so many people every week. One thing I’m proud about is getting to show people that I do my own work all on my own, and getting any feedback helps me grow as an artist.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I would definitely say getting to see concerts at an early stage helped me dream to get where I am today. Those little inklings and experiencing live music showed me what I really wanted to do with my life when I grew up. And here I am today, getting to do just that.
