Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Bailey.
Hi Chelsea , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My background is in school counseling, and I am also a Certified Christian Counselor. Through this work, I felt a clear nudge from God to step into a deeper calling to serve women of faith through ministry.
This ministry was born out of a desire to walk alongside influential women of faith as they heal from trauma, develop healthier mindsets, and learn to navigate their emotions with grace. We often see women of impact as pillars of strength in their communities and in the Kingdom, and they are. But what we don’t always acknowledge is that even the most powerful women of God need a healthy, faith-based support system in order to fully walk in their gifts and calling.
I know this firsthand, because I was once that woman.
I know what it feels like to need to be seen and heard, yet feel as though you are drowning beneath the weight of your own wounds. Since a little girl, I was a product of trauma wounds that followed me into my adulthood. Through my own healing journey, I discovered that the areas of our lives left unaddressed will continue to resurface as patterns and cycles. For me it showed up in my dysfunctional marriage, unhealthy workplace dynamics, and relationships that simply weren’t aligned with who God created me to be.
So I did the work. The real, genuine work of healing properly versus performing as if my wounds weren’t costing me my quality of life.
Walking through that space is both challenging and deeply rewarding, but I have learned that true healing cannot happen apart from God. Because God knows our life journey. Every wound, every chapter, every hidden layer. Developing a relationship with Him is the most vital foundation of my life and of this ministry.
It is my mission that this ministry will continue to serve women of faith who desire to show up fully for their communities. When we as women are healthy mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, we are truly equipped to do so, and to do so wholeheartedly.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The challenges in my life have been true learning lessons. During my seasons of experiencing any trauma I leaned on God, therapy, and my support system. Navigating my challenges and obstacles were necessary to see what unhealthy patterns were still there under the surface. I now have much gratitude, because each season has been a testimony to help others navigate similar circumstances.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is as a Certified Christian Counselor. The name of my business is Change Works Services LLC. Within this ministry, I help women of faith heal their trauma by helping them create healthier mindsets while navigating their emotions. I believe that as influential women of faith, when we are healthy mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, we are able to serve our communities well.
I currently serve women of faith with individual counseling services and facilitate small groups. I also have self published a book name Freedom of Forgiveness: How to Unlock Inner Peace and Experience Emotional Wellness. My book is found on my website www.chelseabailey.com. How do you think about luck?
I truly believe it has been the grace of God that has had His hand within my business.
