Check Out Adrienne Chappell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Chappell.

Hi Adrienne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey with [Chalises Heavenly Inspired began long before I ever opened a storefront. I’ve always been creative at heart — from growing gardens, and cooking, making things by hand, experimenting with natural ingredients, and finding comfort in wellness traditions that reminded me of home, healing, and self-care. What started in my kitchen in 2013 as handmade skincare and wellness creations slowly grew into something much bigger through faith, persistence, and community support.

In the beginning, I sold products at local markets, festivals, and pop-up events around Georgia, learning directly from customers and listening to what people truly needed. Many were struggling with sensitive skin, dryness, irritation, stress, or simply wanting healthier options they could trust. That inspired me to continue researching natural ingredients like sea moss, turmeric, aloe vera, herbal infusions, and nourishing butters to create products that felt both effective and comforting.

Over time, Chalises Heavenly Inspired became more than skincare. It became a space centered around wellness, confidence, education, and community. In 2022, I transitioned from being home-based into opening a storefront in Winterville, Georgia, where customers can now shop, learn, sample products, and connect in person. The business has also expanded into a marketplace model that gives other small businesses and makers opportunities to grow alongside us.

Today, Chalises includes skincare, body care, wellness products, men’s grooming, intimate care, herbal-inspired collections, educational content, and community-centered events. I’ve been blessed to have the brand featured in local publications, community events, interviews, and even national television opportunities, but what matters most to me is still the connection with everyday people who tell me our products helped them feel more confident in their skin.

My story is really one of growth — taking a small handmade passion, staying consistent through challenges, believing in the vision even during uncertain moments, and allowing creativity, faith, and purpose to lead the way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many small business journeys, the road has not been smooth — but every challenge helped shape what [Chalises Heavenly Inspired](https://www.chalises.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) is today.

In the beginning, one of the biggest struggles was simply learning how to turn creativity into a sustainable business. I started as a home-based maker in 2013, creating products by hand, attending local markets, and trying to balance passion with the realities of entrepreneurship. There were long nights of researching ingredients, testing formulas, designing labels, managing inventory, setting up booths, and still trying to figure out marketing, finances, and growth all at the same time.

Funding and resources were also major obstacles. Like many entrepreneurs, I started small and had to build gradually, often reinvesting back into the business little by little. There were moments of uncertainty — wondering how to scale production, how to increase visibility, and how to compete with larger brands while still staying true to the heart of what made Chalises special: handcrafted wellness products rooted in care, education, and authenticity.

Another challenge was navigating growth while wearing so many hats. As the business expanded from skincare into wellness collections, events, marketplace opportunities, and community outreach, I found myself becoming not just a maker, but also a marketer, educator, event planner, mentor, and retailer. Opening the storefront in Winterville in 2022 was a proud milestone, but it also came with new responsibilities and pressures that required even more structure, organization, and faith.

One thing I’ve learned is that growth rarely happens in a straight line. There are slow seasons, moments of self-doubt, and lessons learned through trial and error. But those experiences also taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community support. Meeting customers face-to-face at pop-ups and festivals, hearing their stories, and seeing how our products make them feel gives me the motivation to keep pushing forward.

Today, I see the struggles as part of the foundation. They taught me how to create not just a business, but a brand with purpose — one that values wellness, creativity, education, and helping others grow alongside me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What I create through [Chalises Heavenly Inspired sits between artistry, wellness, storytelling, and handmade craftsmanship. I specialize in creating skincare, body care, wellness, and herbal-inspired products that are designed to nourish not only the skin, but also confidence, comfort, and self-care experiences. Every collection begins with creativity — blending ingredients, textures, colors, scents, and purpose into products that feel intentional and personal.

I’m especially known for combining natural ingredients like sea moss, turmeric, aloe vera, herbal infusions, botanical oils, and rich butters into unique formulations that are both luxurious and approachable. Over the years, customers have come to recognize Chalises for products like the Shea Moss Moisture Cream, herbal Mossed Up Liquid black soaps, wellness body care, and our growing collections focused on healthy skin, wellness support, and everyday self-care rituals.

What makes my work different is that I approach it as both an artist and a maker. I don’t just create products — I create experiences, collections, environments, displays, events, packaging, educational moments, and stories around wellness and healing. Creativity flows into everything from product formulation and branding to booth displays, community events, photography, marketing, and customer interaction. “I’ve always believed skincare should feel beautiful, comforting, and personal. Dealing with skin concerns or sensitivities can sometimes affect how we feel about ourselves, but everyone deserves the chance to enjoy the process, care for their skin with confidence, and see real results along the way.”
I’m also proud that Chalises grew from a small home-based passion into a storefront and community-centered business in Winterville, Georgia. Beyond creating products, I’ve been able to build a space that supports connection, education, and opportunities for other entrepreneurs and makers through marketplace collaborations and events.

What truly sets me apart is authenticity. My work is inspired by real people, real struggles, and real experiences. I create with intention, curiosity, and heart. Many of my ideas come from my own struggles, listening to our customers, researching ingredients, revisiting traditional wellness practices, and finding creative ways to make self-care feel accessible and meaningful for all kinds of people.

Most of all, I’m proud that people don’t just remember the products — they remember the feeling they get from the brand. My son Jason, who works along side me at events and markets, and I create a warm environment for people to enterWhether someone discovers us at a festival, in the storefront, online, or through a simple conversation, my goal has always been to create something that feels welcoming, inspiring, and made with genuine care.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’ve never really viewed my journey through the lens of luck. I’m a very spiritual person, and I believe my path has been guided more by faith, purpose, obedience, and divine timing than by chance. To me, “luck” suggests randomness — but much of what has happened in my life and through [Chalises Heavenly Inspired](https://www.chalises.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) has felt deeply aligned with purpose, even during the difficult seasons.

That doesn’t mean the journey has been easy. There were moments when resources were limited, opportunities seemed uncertain, and doors didn’t always open immediately. But I’ve learned that even setbacks can carry direction. Some of the hardest moments taught me resilience, creativity, patience, and trust in the vision I was given. Looking back, many things that once felt like obstacles actually pushed me toward growth, connection, and greater clarity.

Of course, there have been incredible moments that others may call “good luck” — opportunities to be featured publicly, connections with supportive people, customers finding us at just the right time, or the business growing beyond what started in my kitchen years ago. But I see those moments as confirmation rather than coincidence. I believe when you walk in purpose, remain consistent, and move with faith, certain opportunities begin to align naturally.

My business was built from creativity, persistence, community, prayer, and a genuine desire to help people feel cared for and confident. Faith has been the foundation through every season — from creating handmade products at home to opening a storefront and building a community-centered brand. So while some may call parts of the journey luck, I see it as divine alignment, favor, and the unfolding of purpose over time.
