Meet Simone Rivers of Signature By Simone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Rivers.

Hi Simone, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From humble beginnings in Austin, beauty and entrepreneurship have always been woven into my story. I’m a triplet, and my sisters and I were raised in the heart of my parents’ salon. Watching them pour passion into their work taught me something powerful at an early age: beauty is transformational. I saw people walk into the salon carrying the weight of the world and leave feeling renewed, confident, and seen. That stayed with me.

Naturally, I began my own journey into hair and makeup while I was still young. I was the girl doing makeup for dance team performances, prom, and homecoming, and my mom trusted me enough to work on both her and her clients. I fell in love with the artistry, the glamour, and most importantly, the way beauty could empower someone from the inside out.

After graduating from beauty school in 2016, I had the opportunity to work with some of the most iconic beauty brands in the industry, including MAC Cosmetics, Lancôme, and Morphe. Those experiences allowed me to travel, refine my craft, and learn invaluable lessons in artistry, leadership, luxury service, and business. Even then, I always knew I was building toward something of my own — a brand and culture that reflected my personal vision of beauty.

While managing retail sales for MAC Cosmetics, I saw Sola Salons being built in Austin, and I took that as my sign to step fully into entrepreneurship. Four years later, that leap of faith has grown into a thriving business that has allowed me to work with Fortune 500 companies, CEOs, celebrities, television and film productions, commercial campaigns, and brides during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. My specialty is creating elevated, camera-ready beauty while still making every client feel authentic and confident in who they are.

Family has always been at the center of my journey. When my sisters moved to Atlanta, it was incredibly difficult to be apart from them, but I felt deeply that God was calling me there too. Five years later to the exact day they moved, I followed that calling to Atlanta, where I met my wonderful fiancé and found a city full of inspiring, purpose-driven people.

Today, I’m preparing to open my new location at Lee + White on the BeltLine this June, and it feels like the next beautiful chapter of everything I’ve worked toward. My mission is simple: to use the gifts God has given me to help people step into their light, embrace their purpose, and feel empowered to live life fully and beautifully.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t always been easy. Entrepreneurship requires a level of faith, resilience, and belief in yourself that has to remain steady even during uncertain seasons. There have been many moments where I’ve prayed and wondered, “How is this all going to come together? How will I grow my clientele? How do I take this vision to the next level?”

But through every challenge, God has remained faithful. He has consistently opened doors, provided opportunities, and connected me with incredible people who have supported both me and my business along the way.

I’ve learned that building something meaningful takes patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep showing up even when the path isn’t always clear. Today, I’m incredibly grateful for the loyal clients, community, and support system that continue to believe in my vision and inspire me to keep growing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in makeup artistry, style outs, sew-in’s, extensions, highlights and color, layered and bob cuts, blowouts, relaxers, perms and braid downs!

I think the thing I’m most proud of brand-wise is that I’ve built something that feels both elevated and deeply personal. In an industry centered around appearance, it was very important to me that my brand never just be about makeup or hair — it’s about how people feel when they leave my chair.

I’m proud that I’ve created a space and experience where people feel confident, cared for, empowered, and seen. Whether I’m working with a bride, a CEO, a celebrity, or someone preparing for an important moment in their life, my goal is always the same: to bring out their best in a way that still feels authentic to who they are.

I’m also incredibly proud that I’ve built my business through relationships, trust, consistency, and word of mouth. To now work with high-level clients, productions, and brands while still staying grounded in my values and purpose means everything to me.

More than anything, I’m proud that my brand reflects my heart — excellence, beauty, faith, authenticity, and making people feel confident enough to walk fully in their purpose.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
When seasons of stagnation or lack of inspiration come, I’ve learned it’s so important to reconnect with your ‘why.’ Your purpose will always reignite the passion that first started the journey. For me it’s my faith and family!
