Today we’d like to introduce you to Gentry Hirsch.

Hi Gentry, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well my stage name is Dat Block Gentry
But I didn’t always go by that name. I started rapping and writing raps at the age of 10 picking out the nickname Mc Gee quickly changed to Lil Gee starting freestyle and rapping with friends and slowly digressed back to my planner because I wanted to do something more I wanted to hear our songs. So my first actual computer was a dell windows xp. I rigged up a chat mic discovered audacity, pro tool demo, fl studios, and mixcraft the rest was history.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I don’t how do you define smooth road ? Cuz I been working at a tire shop for almost 2 years and rapping on the side tryna put some money up to get on stage again. Other than that God’s good by His grace and mercy I sufficient in all things.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an independent Artist musician /songwriter I have a discography over 50 songs and more to come 11 videos in counting uploaded to my YouTube channel. My instagram following is over 1100 and counting. Im known Working hard and staying disciplined in my craft and I’m proud of myself and my small accomplishments and achievements in the underground rap media world and what sets me apart I don’t get comfortable I don’t like feeling like I made it until I know I made it. I don’t care about those things other rappers care about and my sound is unique in every song, every song sounds different you don’t hear the same rhythm or flow. You get a different vibe every time you listen to Dat Block plus I make music for you to ride and think too are some my music just be a lil vibe but all in all it’s great music.
