Inspiring Conversations with Kai Cooper of Vintagenista 1923

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kai Cooper.

Hi Kai, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am Kai “Vintagenista”Cooper Stewart writing to share the journey and evolution of my brand. What began as a personal passion for collecting vintage handbags from local thrift stores has grown into a comprehensive personal shopping and styling service. After frequently being asked about my own finds, I began sourcing vintage handbags, clothing, and accessories for others.

My background includes retail merchandising, collaborating with local models and photographers, as well as participating in fashion shows with colleges in the Atlanta area. This experience has allowed my business to evolve from personal shopping into selling curated vintage clothing and, more recently, a selection of handmade accessories.

I look forward to sharing my appreciation for the vintage style with you.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building this business has had its ups and downs, particularly in the beginning when helping customers understand vintage clothing and its value. Initially, many customers were interested but unsure of how to style unique vintage pieces.

I have also found that success in selling vintage depends heavily on being in the right market, though that landscape has certainly evolved over the years.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Vintagenista 1923?
At Vintagenista1923, our motto is “Where Vintage Meets Trend.” I specialize in sourcing unique vintage pieces from the 1950s through the 1990s to enhance your wardrobe. In addition to our clothing and accessories, we offer styling, personal shopping services, and consignment options upon request.

We are also proud to feature two exclusive lines:

– Vintage Drip: Our signature collection of vintage trucker hats.
– RazzleDazzleCollections🦋: Handmade, custom earrings. This collection debuted at the 2025 Phoenix Fashion Week and was recently featured on the 2026 New York Fashion Week runway in collaboration with the “Brodstyle” clothing line.

I am very pleased with the success of these recent showcases and look forward to sharing our latest collections with you.
