Meet Temika Brackins of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Temika Brackins.

Hi Temika, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey with a passion for helping people feel confident, whether through beauty, healthy hair care, or financial empowerment. What began as doing hair and learning the beauty industry eventually grew into building multiple businesses centered around transformation and independence.

Over the years, I expanded into tax preparation and business education, becoming an ERO and helping others learn how to start and grow their own tax businesses. I created training programs and digital products to teach people how to create additional income streams and take control of their future.

At the same time, I continued growing in the beauty industry, specializing in healthy hair and hair loss solutions. That passion led me to open Slay Masters Beauty Suites, where I combined beauty, business, and empowerment under one roof.

My journey has not been easy. I’ve faced setbacks, financial pressure, legal challenges, personal struggles, and moments where I wanted to give up. But through faith, resilience, and determination, I kept pushing forward. Every obstacle taught me something about leadership, healing, and perseverance.

Today, my mission is bigger than just business. I want to inspire others—especially women—to realize they can rebuild, reinvent themselves, and create the life they truly want no matter where they start.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. Building my businesses has come with a lot of challenges, especially balancing entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal growth at the same time. I’ve faced setbacks with business operations, difficult business relationships, financial pressure, and learning how to properly structure and scale my companies. There were moments where I had to rebuild, adapt quickly, and keep going even when things became stressful.

One of the biggest lessons for me was learning resilience and understanding that every struggle teaches you something. Those experiences helped me become stronger, more strategic, and more passionate about helping others through mentorship and business development.”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner of Slay Masters Beauty & Tax Pros, where I specialize in tax services, ERO mentorship, business systems training, and beauty and hair restoration services. Over the years, I’ve built my brand around helping people create opportunities for themselves—whether that’s through starting a tax business, learning how to operate professionally, or helping clients regain confidence through beauty and hair loss solutions.

I’m especially known for being hands-on with mentorship and teaching people how to properly set up their systems, train their teams, and understand the business side of the tax industry beyond just preparing returns. I focus heavily on structure, professionalism, compliance, and helping others build something sustainable.

What I’m most proud of is being able to create multiple streams of business while still helping others grow. I’ve been able to turn my real-life experiences, challenges, and lessons into opportunities to mentor and guide other entrepreneurs.

What sets me apart is my authenticity and versatility. I’ve built my businesses from the ground up, so I understand the challenges entrepreneurs face firsthand. I’m not just teaching theory—I’m teaching from experience, and I truly care about helping people build confidence, systems, and long-term success.”

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
“I see both the tax and beauty industries becoming much more technology-driven and client-experience focused over the next 5–10 years. In the tax industry, I believe we’ll continue to see more automation, virtual services, AI tools, and stronger compliance requirements. Tax professionals will need to focus more on education, business structure, and year-round financial guidance instead of only seasonal tax preparation. Clients are also looking for professionals they can trust, not just someone to file a return.

In the beauty industry, especially hair restoration and beauty services, I see a major shift toward wellness, confidence-building, and specialized treatments. Clients want personalized experiences and long-term solutions, not just quick services. Social media and branding will continue to play a huge role in business growth, and businesses that create strong customer experiences and consistent branding will stand out the most.

Overall, I think the biggest trend will be businesses learning how to combine personal connection with technology and systems. The companies that can provide both professionalism and genuine client care will continue to grow.”
