Hi Noel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Noel Mwamba, and I’m a licensed Real Estate Broker and the owner of Mwamba Realty Atlanta LLC, operating in both Georgia and New York. I spent over 20 years in New York — including a global career with the United Nations — before relocating to Atlanta with my wife and our son to build a business rooted in community impact.

When I launched Mwamba Realty, my focus was primarily on serving my immediate African community here in Atlanta. Over time, that mission has grown into a movement. Today, I proudly serve a diverse range of clients — from first‑time homebuyers to seasoned investors across the city — all united by a desire to build stability and wealth through real estate.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey as a real estate broker has not always been smooth and I have faced my own share of challenges.

For example, there was the time when the COVID crisis set in and Atlanta was shut down. This was a difficult time for all entrepreneurs and to make matters worse, I had just started operating in Atlanta. Then I had the challenge of building my business in a new city. Having to network and establish good relationships with vendors such as lenders, home inspectors, photographers e.t.c.

And then the most difficult part was finding the clients to support my business. There is a saying in the real estate industry, that “a client will become your friend much faster than your friend will become your client”. Often times this can be accurate.

However, I am of the belief that if you enter this industry with the objective of serving your clients and your community as best as you can. With kindness, professionalism, patience, and expertise. They will support you and start referring business your way. Once your referral network kicks in, the business moves into autopilot.

Atlanta, is a city that presents great opportunities for minority and small business. Entrepreneurs must go for it!
