Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Crawford.

Hi Chelsea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Real estate has been a passion of mine since college. When I was getting ready to graduate college, my mom went through the home-buying process. Our agent was wonderfully attentive and made the process stress-free and even fun in some ways. That sparked my interest but I was getting ready to walk across the stage at Georgia State University. I decided to hold off on real estate and use my new degree that I had just worked hard for. Years passed but the desire to get into real estate never went away but I got comfortable having a 9 to 5 job. Until, I landed in a toxic work environment that caused mental distress and anxiety. I took a leave of absence. Within the first week of my leave, I asked myself, if I could make a career change and completely change my circumstances during this time off, what would I do? Real estate was the answer. I now I had the time for my deferred dream. I focused on the course as if it were my full-time job and and here I am. Passed the GA licensing exam on the first try and haven’t looked back.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, it has been smooth. The challenge for me is keeping the momentum going. I’m somewhat of an introvert and I get shy but I love people at the same time. In this business, you have to be a social butterfly. I’ve prayed for this moment. Everything lined up in God’s timing. I have a new sense of peace knowing that my success in this business is solely in my hands. A manager/supervisor can’t block my blessings. I am my own boss. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect and that was nothing but God.

Although my specialty is first-time home buyers and new construction, I also work with seasoned home buyers and sellers.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would be family vacations. I traveled everywhere my parents went. They only left me home once. If they took a trip, I was right there rolling my luggage too. I started seeing the world at a young age.
