Today we’d like to introduce you to Esco Doll.
Hi Esco, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Alliah Escobar. My artist name is Esco Doll. Esco Doll comes from my last name Escobar. I was named after the singer Aaliyah, which turned out to be one of my favorite artists of my childhood. I’m a Singer/songwriter, Rapper, Dancer, Model, Producer, and Actress. My background story is tragic, inspiring, and powerful. Born in Orlando Florida, traveling to different states played a significant factor in my childhood. I grew up listening to a lot of music. My family would often play different kinds of music, from Soca/Calypso, to R&B, Hiphop, Reggae, and Dancehall. My siblings were more into Alternative Rock, Rock, Pop, R&B, and Trap. I knew a lot of music just from hearing my family play it. When I was little, I would often stay up late at night to watch “Night Tracks.” This is how I discovered some old school music as well. At the age of 7, I wrote my very first song. It was a love song. Love songs were heavily influenced in the early 2000’s, so it was very easy for me to write about it. My writing skills have always been ahead of its time. I was writing mature songs way before I even became an adult. My sisters and I came up with this “Saturday Competition Day”, where we would practice our songs the whole week, then perform it every Saturday. And whoever is the winner got a prize. At the age of 11, I was already free-styling to some of my favorite artist beats. I would often rap battle with my siblings just for fun. My rap battles were pretty good too. In 2014, I left Florida and came back to Georgia. I attended McEachern High School as freshman. However I didn’t stay for long. My family and I relocated back to The Virgin Islands and that’s where I finished high school. I stayed there for almost 8 years. I stayed there long enough to where I was able to be on my own for 8 years. While I was in high school, I competed in two Poetry Slam Competitions. Unfortunately, I never made it to the Finals, but I did made it to the Top Ten of my school. I was a very shy girl in school. However, when it came to Poetry Slam Competitions, that shyness went away. The audience was in awe after my performance. One of the students came up to me and told me, “You sound like a rapper the way you recite your poems. That was very good.” I told him, “Thank you. I never thought of it that way.” At first, I was confused when the student told me that. Then a couple years later, I finally understood what the student meant. That was my sign to start rapping. In 2015, I experienced a traumatic breakup, which encouraged me to start writing my own poetry. I would then post my poems on this app called, “Wattpad.” Those poems are still available on the website for those who are interested. I loved reading romance, dark fantasy, and fiction mystery books. I was also into “hood books.” Hood books are fiction stories that often showcase the black culture. These genre of books inspired me to write my own stories as well. Wattpad would have these book competitions every month and I would submit my works. I graduated high school in 2018. Then I found out I was pregnant with my first son shortly after. This is when my life took a huge turn. When I was pregnant, I attended SNHU Online School, while being stay at home mom. During this time, I started writing my own songs again. I found this website called, beatstars.com; and I would record the songs on Garage Band, Band Lab, or on my old laptop. A year later, I decided to take a break from college, due to my Postpartum depression. During this time, I was working 9-5 jobs. Whether that be waitressing, bartending, cashier, Housekeeping, or stocking. Unfortunately, none of those jobs lasted due to the pandemic. A lot of establishments were short staffed during Covid. So I took a leap of faith, and became an exotic dancer. I started dancing in 2021. This was my only way for me to bring in more income, and to take care of my priorities. Being a single mom is not easy. So exotic dancing played a crucial part of my motherhood. Dancing helped me maintain my own identity, my own place, car, and job. My journey was extremely difficult due to lack of resources in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, things became hard and lost everything including my apartment, my job, my friends, and relationships. This inspired me to take another leap of faith and leave the islands. I am a very ambitious woman so I was very determined to take my career to the next level. On June 27, 2025 I came to Atlanta with no money, a laptop, my son, and a plan. My plan was to rebrand Esco Doll, take my career to greater heights, and to have more stability for son.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was not a smooth road at all. I left the island thinking things were going to be easier, but it actually got harder. I found myself being a victim of a lot of scammers, jealousy, envy, betrayal, and secrets from friends and family. The first year being back in Atlanta wasn’t easy. Despite all the chaos, I continued to preserver through the hard times. Every situation turned into a tear, and every tear turned into a song. My songs will actually tell my story better than I can. I realized that I never needed anyone else but myself. Most people are just in your way and if you don’t see that, they can hinder your growth as an artist. Praying, writing, meditation, and spiritual baths helped me through the years of being stuck. It took me to get hurt to recognize my own inner power. Once I discovered my inner strength, I redirected my energy towards healing. Sometimes it’s not what your doing, but how your doing it. I decided to try a different approach at pursuing my talents. Instead of just recording music with shady people in the music industry, I redirected my brand towards acting and modeling. I’m still singing, but just doing it differently. I decided to try the “Marilyn Monroe Approach” and it’s been working pretty well. I strive to continue to be better than yesterday. Giving up has never be apart of my agenda and I don’t plan to.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Singer/songwriter, Rapper, Dancer, Model, Producer, and Actress. I’m mostly known for being a Beautiful Lady, my unique voice, my sex appeal, and raw gritty rap bars. People often compare me to Lauryn Hill, which is a huge compliment due to her accomplishments in the music industry. I never saw it that way, but once more people mentioned it; now I can’t unsee it. I was always inspired by female artist who can do it all. There are female artist who can engineer and produce their own music as well. You don’t really see too many females diving into that direction. So it’s cool to see that. I’m mostly proud of seeing us female artist dominating the music industry right now. It’s a flex that will go down in history. It’s our time to shine. What sets me apart from others is my intelligence. I might not look like the woman who knows much, but I actually know way too much. I know hidden knowledge that other artist don’t really talk about, such as spirituality, history, or just past life experiences.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for my future are to just continue to push forward with my career. I’m currently working on my mixtape, which will make my very first project. I’m also writing a book, which will teach others how to overcome the impossible using alchemy. I’m a powerful manifestor. So sharing my gifts with others could make a huge impact around the world. Like I’ve mentioned earlier, I used meditation, prayers, and sacred energy, to help release a lot of stagnant energy. My book will explain more details on how I achieve that. It will be like the secret sauce to overcome anything that is holding back in life. I plan to have more kids in the future as well, but with a better partner this time. I don’t want to just share my gifts with music only. I want to alchemize my gifts in many ways that I can. Once I can apply those gifts to my career and my personal life, I think that’s a beautiful idea.
