Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Elizabeth.
Hi Hanna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey in the performing arts began at the age of six. I’ve always had a deep love for the arts. As a child, I would recreate scenes from my favorite shows and even create my own. Raised in Maryland, I began singing, acting, and dancing through church and school programs. By the age of eleven, I started taking classes at a local performing arts studio to further develop my craft, building a strong foundation that would support years of creative growth. Those classes not only strengthened my skills but also helped build my confidence and boldness as a performer.
Since then, I have performed in more than 15 stage plays and musical theatre productions. In 2022, I expanded into film acting, allowing me to explore storytelling through a different lens. My experience across both stage and screen has given me the opportunity to grow as a performer and express myself more fully as an artist.
Beyond singing, acting, and dancing, I’m also a model, writer, and spoken word artist. As a model, I strive to bring elegance, grace, and authenticity to every project. My style is timeless and sophisticated, reflecting confidence and professionalism in both fashion and commercial work.
As a writer and poet, I use words and storytelling as an outlet to express faith and purpose. Above all, I consider myself a creator for THE Creator, driven by a desire to inspire others and glorify God through every creative expression. My art is a reflection of my faith, and I believe it has the ability to illuminate the beauty and light of Jesus for those who experience it.
In addition to the performing arts, I am also the founder of a women’s platform called Favor & Femininity. Favor & Femininity is a space dedicated to celebrating biblical womanhood, favor, femininity, grace, and purpose. Through biblical teachings, encouragement, digital resources, fashion, beauty and etiquette tips, events, and community, I encourage God’s daughters and help prepare women to walk confidently in their God-given identity and thrive in every area of life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. There have definitely been some struggles along the way. The main challenges for me has been finding roles that align with my standards, learning to trust that this is what I’m called to do and trusting God’s timing throughout the journey.
When it comes to roles, I’ve learned to be intentional about choosing roles that align with my personal values, faith, and the type of stories I feel called to help tell.
I’m reminded of the words of Cicely Tyson in her memoir Just As I Am: “I would use my profession as my platform—a stage from which to make my voice heard. By carefully choosing my projects and portrayals, I could not afford the luxury of simply being an actress.”
She also wrote, “My art had to both mirror the times and propel them forward.” Those words deeply resonate with me and how I approach my career. I want the work I do to have meaning and purpose, and I want the stories I help tell to uplift, encourage, and leave a positive impact.
Another ongoing lesson has been trusting God’s timing. I know that He has called me to this path, but there have been seasons where I wasn’t being cast or actively working on a project. During those quiet seasons, I realized God was still working in me—growing me, preparing me, and deepening my faith. I’ve learned so much in those moments and I’m learning to stay ready, continue practicing, and grow even when I’m not currently on a set or stage.
It can be easy to compare and look at other actors, but I’m learning that God’s plan for my life is intentional and different from anyone else’s. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). I’m also learning to trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. There are different times and seasons, and I believe my time will come in the way God intends.
In the meantime, I’m committed to preparing, growing, and stewarding every opportunity well. I truly believe there are no small roles or small projects—every experience is valuable and shaping me into the artist and person I’m becoming. Even in the waiting seasons, there is purpose, growth, and preparation taking place.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a multi-disciplinary creative specializing in acting, modeling, spoken word, and storytelling. My main focus is performance and using creative expression as a way to connect with people, inspire, and communicate meaningful messages. I’ve worked across both stage and film. I’m currently focused on growing in film while pursuing projects that are grounded in strong storytelling and purpose.
As a model, I bring elegance, authenticity, and professionalism to every project. As a writer and spoken word artist, I use words as a form of expression to communicate faith, encouragement, and purpose. I love to write and on my website I have a blog called “Threads of Truth” where I share relatable stories and encouragement. Across everything I do, my goal is always to create work that leaves a lasting impact beyond just entertainment.
What I’m most proud of is staying true to my values while still actively growing in my craft. I’m proud that I’ve continued to pursue opportunities with intention, even in seasons of waiting, and that I’ve learned to trust God’s timing in my journey.
What sets me apart from others is the heart behind my work. I’m not only focused on performance, but on purpose. My faith plays a central role in how I create, and I approach every opportunity with intentionality, excellence, and a desire for my work to inspire, uplift, and ultimately glorify God.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is that people encounter Jesus Christ through my work, my life, and the way I treat others. I want my life to reflect His love in a way that makes Him real to people and reminds them that they are deeply loved and not alone.
My desire is for people to know that Jesus is real, that He loves them, and that eternal salvation is available through Him. I especially want those who are hurting, depressed, or broken to know that healing and hope are possible in Christ. My greatest purpose is to live in a way that points people back to Him and brings glory to God.
