Hidden Gems: Meet Brittany Wright of BeWrightBack

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Wright.

Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story really started with my love for travel and creating. Before BeWrightBack, I had a travel blog called The Lupie Traveler, where I shared my experiences traveling while living with lupus. Travel has always been something that made me feel free, inspired, and connected to myself, even during difficult seasons.

In 2018, that love for travel naturally grew into BeWrightBack. I wanted to create something for women like me — women who love to travel, love cute and comfortable outfits, and want pieces that feel stylish, effortless, and relatable. What started as a small creative idea has slowly grown into a brand centered around travel-inspired apparel and accessories for women who are always planning their next getaway, even if it’s just in their mind for now.

The journey has definitely had its ups and downs. I’ve had to learn everything from design and production to selling online, vendor events, marketing, and figuring out what my audience truly connects with. I’ve also had to balance building a business while managing chronic illness, including lupus and Myasthenia Gravis, along with real-life responsibilities. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has taught me something and helped me become more intentional about the brand I’m building.

Today, BeWrightBack is more than just shirts or travel accessories to me. It’s a reminder that women deserve joy, rest, adventure, and beautiful moments outside of their everyday responsibilities. My goal is to keep growing the brand into a go-to lifestyle brand for women who love travel, comfort, and confidence — one piece at a time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve had to figure things out as I went, from learning how to design, market, and sell online, to showing up at vendor events, to understanding what my customers truly connect with.

One of my biggest struggles has been building my business while navigating chronic illness. I live with lupus and Myasthenia Gravis, and I also had thoracic surgery as part of my MG journey. Because of that, I deal with muscle weakness and fatigue, so there are days when I have the ideas and the passion, but my body needs me to slow down.

That part has been challenging, especially as someone who is very driven and wants to keep pushing forward, but it has also shaped the heart of my brand. Travel, rest, joy, and freedom mean so much more to me now. BeWrightBack is not just about cute travel-inspired pieces — it’s about reminding women that they deserve softness, adventure, and moments that feel good, even when life is heavy.

The road has had setbacks, but every challenge has made me more intentional, more creative, and more committed to building something meaningful.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about BeWrightBack ?
BeWrightBack is a travel-inspired lifestyle brand created for women who love to travel, dress comfortably, and still feel stylish and put together. We specialize in apparel and accessories that celebrate the excitement of getting away. Whether that is a vacation, a weekend trip, a girls’ getaway, or simply dreaming about the next destination.

Our brand is best known for pieces that are relatable, feminine, and fun, with phrases and designs inspired by airport style, vacation energy, soft life, and the joy of being somewhere new. We offer travel-inspired t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, wine tumblers, journals, passport covers, keychains, and other accessories that feel both practical and personal.

What sets BeWrightBack apart is that it is not just about travel as a destination. It is about how travel makes women feel — free, confident, rested, inspired, and reconnected to themselves. I wanted to create a brand for the woman who is always planning her next trip, loves a cute airport outfit, and believes that rest and joy are not luxuries, but necessities.

Brand-wise, I am most proud of the emotional connection people have with my products. When someone sees a shirt or accessory and says, “That is so me,” that means everything to me. I love creating pieces that feel like a personality, a mood, or a reminder that you deserve to take up space, explore, and enjoy life.

I want readers to know that BeWrightBack is more than a clothing brand. It is a reminder to book the trip, take the break, wear the cute outfit, and create memories while you can. My goal is to continue growing it into a go-to lifestyle brand for women who love travel, comfort, confidence, and a little bit of luxury in their everyday lives.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is living a life that feels meaningful, intentional, and full of joy, even through the hard seasons.

After navigating chronic illness, including lupus and Myasthenia Gravis, I have learned that health, peace, time, and memories are truly priceless. I care deeply about creating a life where I can be present for my family, take care of myself, and still pursue the dreams God placed on my heart.

That is also why travel is such a big part of my story and my brand. Travel has always represented freedom, rest, and a chance to breathe outside of everyday responsibilities. It reminds me that life is meant to be experienced, not just survived.

Through BeWrightBack, I want to encourage women to take the trip, enjoy the moment, wear the cute outfit, and give themselves permission to rest, explore, and feel good. What matters most to me is creating something that makes women feel seen, inspired, and reminded that they deserve joy too.
