Hidden Gems: Meet Malory Wood of The Missing Ink LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Malory Wood.

Hi Malory, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I worked in law for over 15 years (formally educated and certified). I have been doing freelance writing since I was 15 years old, when I was first published. It was always my first love. After getting gravely ill in 2018 and risking amputation of two limbs, and my life on the line from rheumatic fever, the doctors said there was a chance I wouldn’t pull through. When I thankfully did, and fully healed, I made a decision in that hospital bed that I would embark on the journey of my dreams. Within 2 weeks, I opened The Missing Ink LLC and went full-time as a writer and editor. Within 4 years, bought my first home. I have worked with every kind of person. This is my gift to the world and the world’s gift to me. Every day is a Saturday, and I am beyond blessed to get to wake up and do what I love every single day of my life. Writing is my biggest passion alongside simply waking up and getting to live again.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course there are obstacles and challenges! Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. If you don’t like rollercoasters (I LOVE THEM), this is not the world for you. You literally wear every single hat, all at once, for all time. It is a total rush and I love it. My time management and discipline skills can rival the best of the best. I am a force to be reckoned with FROM these challenges and obstacles, and I am grateful for every darn one of them!

We’ve been impressed with The Missing Ink LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business offers content marketing, writing, and book editing. I have written in virtually every industry on the planet across virtually every platform in virtually every voice, tone, and formality. I am the most proud of the recognition and relatability my brand offers. People know exactly who they will be working with: me. I showcase myself authentically and raw so there are no surprises beyond me making you burst into laughter! I am set apart from others from my different lens and perspective of the world. We are privileged to be here as it is not a right. Nearly dying opened up a level of enlightenment for me. I specialize in learning people, places, and things, and being able to regurgitate the experience as an expert and as if you (the reader) were there.

What matters most to you?
Waking up again and getting another chance. Loyalty, love, honor, transparency, emotional intelligence and awareness, a deep thirst for knowledge and growing every day, compassion, friendship, and support. Doing something that positively impacts the world every single day. Kindness and humor. Choose to be a GOOD person with integrity. Give your gift out and you will receive more gifts in abundance.
