Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Londyn.
Hi Lee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born in Chicago, Illinois, at Northwestern Hospital and spent my early years living in Logan Square on the North Side of Chicago before later moving to East Chicago, Indiana. Creativity has always been at the center of who I am. I started painting when I was seven years old, and looking back, I think that naturally evolved into my love for makeup. Painting and makeup both use the same part of my brain—they’re about color, storytelling, emotion, and creating something that makes people feel something.
In eighth grade, I discovered another creative outlet: video editing. I started a company called **AllInYourGrillzCreations**, which was my first real introduction to film, editing, and digital storytelling. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was laying the foundation for the career I have today.
As I got older, my love for beauty continued to grow. In 2015, I started creating content on Musical.ly and Triller, experimenting with different types of videos and learning what it meant to build an online community. That passion led me to attend Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in 2016. While in beauty school, I started combining my worlds of beauty and content creation, documenting my journey and sharing my creativity online. I graduated in February 2017.
In November 2017, I enrolled at Full Sail University to study Music Production. Around that same time, my sister, Anastasia CC Davis, began pursuing her master’s degree in Film Production. Watching her pursue film on a higher level reignited something in me and deepened my interest in television and production. That’s when I decided to truly take my media and influencer career seriously.
During the pandemic in 2020, I joined a content creator group called Pretty Puff Girls. I always describe it as “content creator boot camp.” We had schedules, meetings, accountability, and a system that challenged us to consistently show up and improve our craft. It taught me discipline and helped shape the creator I am today.
By 2021, videos I created with my crew started going viral, and at the same time, my extreme makeup transformations began gaining traction online. Everything I had been building—from painting as a child, to editing videos in eighth grade, to beauty school and content creation—started coming together. What began as a collection of creative passions turned into a career rooted in beauty, media, and storytelling.
Today, I continue to merge all of those passions as a content creator, beauty influencer, and media personality. My journey has shown me that none of our interests exist by accident. The things I loved as a child—painting, creating, and telling stories—ultimately became the blueprint for the life and career I’m building today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I will say my largest challenge was being an advocate for unique beauty being that I am a dark skin woman that is full figured and I have naturally plump pink lips I broke out with a look that many people hadn’t seen before or might have not considered the typical beauty but I made room for beautiful and unique women like me
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a multidisciplinary creative at my core, but if I had to define it simply, I’m a beauty creator, filmmaker, and media personality. I specialize in transforming everyday beauty into something visual, expressive, and cinematic—whether that’s through makeup artistry, extreme transformations, or content that feels like a mini film rather than just a post.
What I’m most known for is my makeup transformations and visual storytelling. I don’t just do makeup for the sake of beauty—I treat every look like a character, a mood, or a concept. My background in painting plays a huge role in that. I’ve always approached faces like a canvas, using color, emotion, and detail to tell a story. That’s what sets my work apart—it’s not just beauty, it’s expression.
I also come from a strong foundation in film, editing, and production. I started editing in eighth grade, built my first creative brand from it, and eventually expanded into full-scale content creation across multiple platforms. Over time, I learned how to blend beauty, video, and music into a full creative experience rather than separate skills.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to stay authentic while evolving. A lot of my growth came from experimenting—whether it was early content platforms like Musical.ly, my beauty school journey, or joining a structured creator collective during the pandemic. Every phase added another layer to my creativity, and I didn’t abandon any part of myself along the way—I built on it.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just follow trends, I translate them into my own world. I think visually first. I think in color, movement, and story. And I’m intentional about making my content feel like an experience, not just something to scroll past. For me, beauty, media, and storytelling aren’t separate industries—they’re one language I’ve been speaking my whole life.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned is to keep God at the center of everything and to walk in kindness and grace and everything that you do
