Today we’d like to introduce you to Savannah Williams.
Hi Savannah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
That’s a great start because it sounds natural and personal. I’d expand it just enough to tell the story:
I’ve always been the “makeup friend.” In high school and college, I was the one getting everyone ready for formals, dances, sorority events, and nights out. As my friends got older and started getting married, I naturally became the person they called for their wedding makeup too. What started as something I genuinely loved doing for friends slowly turned into a business. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of brides and bridal parties, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to turn a passion I’ve had for so long into a career helping women feel confident and beautiful on some of the most important days of their lives.
Or, if you want it a little more casual:
I was always the friend everyone came to for makeup. I loved getting my friends ready for dances, formals, sorority events, and any excuse to get glam. As we got older and weddings started filling up the calendar, I began doing makeup for brides and bridal parties. What started as a hobby quickly grew through word of mouth, and before I knew it, I had built a business doing something I truly love. Today, I get to spend my weekends helping women feel like the best version of themselves on one of the biggest days of their lives, and I don’t take that for granted.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. The biggest challenge has been balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship. I’ve worked long days on my feet while pregnant, traveled for weddings with small children at home, and returned to work postpartum while raising two little girls, now ages 2 and 6.
Because weddings happen on weekends, I spend most Saturdays helping brides feel their absolute best on one of the biggest days of their lives. That sometimes means sacrificing time with my own family, and that’s not always easy. But I’ve learned that pursuing something you’re passionate about is important, too. One of the things I’m most proud of is that my daughters get to grow up watching their mom build a business she loves.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in bridal makeup and creating looks that enhance a woman’s natural beauty rather than mask it. Whether it’s soft glam, natural glam, or full glam, my goal is always the same: finding the perfect balance for each individual face. Every client is different, and I love creating a look that makes someone feel confident, beautiful, and still like themselves when they look in the mirror.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is going to the hog farm where my dad worked with my sister. We’d feed the pigs, play with the piglets, and stay out there getting completely covered in mud. I loved to get dirty but always had a face full of makeup.
