Community Highlights: Meet Alysha of McDonald Jackson & Associates, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysha.

Hi Alysha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been built on determination, a lot of learning along the way, and more cups of coffee than I probably should admit.

Like many entrepreneurs, I didn’t wake up one morning with a perfectly written business plan and everything figured out. In fact, if we’re being honest, entrepreneurship is often a combination of vision, faith, trial and error, and occasionally asking yourself, “What have I gotten myself into?” But through every challenge, I knew I wanted to build something that genuinely helped people. Over the years, I noticed that many individuals, landlords, business owners, and families were trying to navigate real estate, taxes, business ownership, and financial planning without having someone they could call for guidance. That’s what led me to create McDonald Jackson & Associates.

What started as an idea has grown into a company focused on helping people make informed decisions about some of the biggest investments and financial moves they’ll make in their lives. Today, McDonald Jackson & Associates provides real estate listing services, landlord and tenant support, eviction services, tax preparation, notary services, title and deed assistance, business consulting, and educational programs designed to help people build wealth and protect what they’ve worked hard for.

One thing I’ve always believed is that knowledge should be shared. That’s why education became a major part of our business. Whether we’re teaching someone how to buy their first home, helping an investor understand foreclosure opportunities, guiding a landlord through the eviction process, or helping a small business owner get organized, we want people to leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.

Looking back, I’m grateful for every lesson, every challenge, and even every mistake because they all helped shape the businesses we have today. Entrepreneurship hasn’t always been glamorous. It’s been a mix of faith, hard work, lessons learned, and a few moments of wondering what I got myself into. But every challenge has helped shape the businesses we have today. But it’s also incredibly rewarding to watch an idea grow into something that positively impacts others.

In January of this year e opened our second firm, Onyx Executive Group. Offering private investigation, private security, and luxury transportation services. While the industries may seem different, both companies share the same mission: helping people solve problems and move forward with confidence.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not. If entrepreneurship were a smooth road, a lot more people would do it.

Like many business owners, I’ve faced challenges with funding, balancing multiple responsibilities, building brand awareness, and learning how to navigate industries that are constantly changing. There were times when I had to wear every hat in the business. CEO, marketer, customer service representative, bookkeeper, and problem solver & sometimes all in the same day.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth often comes with discomfort and high level reality checks. Every new service, business expansion, or major opportunity required stepping outside of my comfort zone, taking calculated risks and always keeping egos in check. There were setbacks, unexpected expenses, and moments where things didn’t go according to plan.

However, those challenges taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying focused on the bigger picture. Every obstacle became a learning experience that helped me build stronger businesses and better serve my clients.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey. The struggles helped shape who I am as an entrepreneur and prepared me for opportunities like expanding McDonald Jackson & Associates and launching Onyx Executive Group in 2026. The road hasn’t been perfect, but it’s definitely been worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
McDonald Jackson & Associates is a full-service real estate, tax finance and business consulting firm dedicated to helping individuals, families, landlords, investors, and entrepreneurs make informed decisions and build long-term wealth.

We specialize in real estate listing services, landlord and tenant support, eviction services, tax preparation audit review, notary services, title and deed assistance, business consulting, and educational programs. What we’re known for is providing practical solutions and guidance in areas that can often feel overwhelming to people.

What sets us apart is that we don’t just offer services, we focus on education. We believe people should understand the process, not just pay for the outcome. Whether someone is buying a home, managing rental property, starting a business, or preparing taxes, we take the time to help them understand their options and make confident decisions.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built within the communities we serve. Many of our clients come to us during major life moments. Buying property, starting a business, resolving landlord-tenant issues, or planning for their financial future. Being able to guide them through those milestones is something I never take for granted.

What I want readers to know is that McDonald Jackson & Associates was built on the belief that everyone deserves access to quality information, professional support, and opportunities to create generational wealth. Our mission is simple: help people protect what they have, build what they want, and leave a legacy for the future.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
More than anything, I want readers to know that behind every business is a person who took a chance on a dream. McDonald Jackson & Associates wasn’t built overnight. It was built through faith, perseverance, long nights, lessons learned, and a genuine desire to help people improve their lives.

If there’s one thing I hope people take away from my story, it’s that your current circumstances don’t have to define your future. We all face obstacles, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty, but those challenges don’t have to stop you from building the life you envision. My heart has always been in helping people create stability, ownership, and opportunities not only for themselves, but for future generations. If McDonald Jackson & Associates can play even a small role in helping someone achieve that, then everything we’ve worked for has been worth it.

At the end of the day, success isn’t just measured by business growth or financial achievements. It’s measured by the lives you impact, the people you help, and the legacy you leave behind. That’s what continues to inspire me every day.
