Daily Inspiration: Meet Madison Morris-Ross

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Morris-Ross.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story began when I woke up one day and decided to apply to work as a volunteer for Atlanta Fashion Week. Before I was just a girl going to work and in school, but I realized school just wasn’t for me and I wanted to pursue my dream which was dance. I went out of my comfort zone and attended tryouts for the Atlanta Falcons but I’ve always had fashion in the back of my head. Growing up I always put different outfits together in my head without having any of those clothes actually in my closet. Growing up I’ve never really had a say so about the clothes I wanted to put on my body & wear, I didn’t really figure out my style till I graduated high school. But the girl I am now is different from the girl I was then that didn’t have a voice.

Once I applied for Atlanta Fashion Week as a volunteer in 2024 it was definitely something new and nothing that I was used too, but I met so many people, faces, and personalities even some I still see to this day. After fashion week I wanted to started pursuing the creative / fashion world seriously so I started contacting different creatives that’s been in the industry to be a mentor for me, once after that my life changed. My first project I worked was a commercial for the one the biggest streamers in the world right now, and after I started working on more sets & fashion shows. After I started modeling full time while still managing work and working a stylist, walking runway after runway and strengthening my portfolio.

As of right now I’m currently working on many more different sets that consist of commercial, fashion shows, music videos, photoshoots, and short films. I’m also currently working in many different roles, some days I’m a wardrobe stylist, other days model / model coordinator. With everything I do my goal at the end of the day is too mold young creatives in the future that want to get into this business and one day open a studio where young creatives can come and show the talent & passions.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not always been smooth sailing, I have made plenty of mistakes along the way some too where I almost lost my chances to work with or alongside this person or that person. People think once you get into this industry it’s all glitz and glam but they don’t really prepare for the early mornings & long nights. One thing I had to prepare myself mentally was how to take No’s, I started to get in my head and wonder dang am I good enough am I cut out to be apart of this industry. Once I started doing more research listening to other models from all over journeys, I realized I have to stay true to Madison. I have a lot of people in my corner that should support me in what I do but doesn’t and I realized that ok because I’m not living for no one else but me and I can do what’s best for me and make me happy.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Listen I am a jack of all trades…ok! I am currently a runway & editorial model, wardrobe stylist & model coordinator, my work focuses on fashions shows, creative shoots, and on-camera projects. I do music videos, short films, and commercials, which has helped me build experience from all over while getting comfortable in different types of environments.

What sets me apart from other creatives is the ability to stay consistent, prepared, and adaptable in any setting. I take constructive criticism very well and direction, but I also know to bring my ow ideas and presence to a project. I am reliable, responsible, easy to work with, and I show up ready to deliver every time.

I am deeply proud and grateful of the work I’ve done so far, this is only just the beginning. Being able to walk in New York Fashion Week, and working with big names while still building a portfolio, and continuing to grow with each project I take on.
